Newton gets a hangnail that keeps him out for a month, and Clausen looks great in relief, establishing a connection with our new number one receiver, Brandon LaFell.

That and the return game is feared, this time by opponents instead of fans.

I'm the tough guy? What are we going to have a internet slap fight now?

Grow up and get a life that doesn't involve trolling strangers on the internet.

This is what I am hoping we will be wrong about.

Huddle opinion: The offensive line is awful............

Au contraire:The offensive line becomes a strength and we run over people like we did in 2008.

Cam picks up right where he left off, makes great decisions and has a 4-1 TD to INT ratio.

Huddle logic: Because we didn't draft a guy, we will have the worse secondary in the league.......

Instead: The secondary plays well and the run defense is solid for the first time in a while.

Huddle pessimism: We needed to draft a WR because after Steve Smith we got nothing.

Rather: Ginn shows he is not only a return guy but a solid number 3 receiver.

Hixon becomes a great number 2  option and stays healthy.

Things which if we are wrong about will bite us in the butt................

Huddle logic: The team will finally stay healthy and we can use all our weapons..

Instead: We have a rash of early injuries and it take several games to win after losing several starters in key roles.

We struggle to build chemistry and have a losing record at the break.

Huddle logic: The defense is going to be nasty this year.

What had happen was:  The defense can't get off the field as Beason is slow and the defensive backs inconsistent.  We are not stout in the middle on third and short.

Huddle logic: The offense was good last year and will start off strong as we go back to the power run.

It would suck if: Shula is a terrible OC and can't call a game being predictable and simplistic failing to out scheme the opponent.  We don't make halftime adjustments and we go conservative aka Foxball if up by 3 or more.  Consequently we can't gear it up in a shootout like we will have with New England, Atlanta twice, and New Orleans twice.

The huddle consensus is always wrong to think that odds, chances, and luck dont play into every game and every training camp. Someone could be an absolutely bad ass, get injured or have something else misfortune happen to him. . and in no time people on the huddle will be calling to cut him because he sucks. "He was obviously a bad draft pick!" lol gimme a break, that gets old.

Still can't stop the run.

Can't cover TEs.

We have a corner lead the league in interceptions.

LaFell ends up the top receiver

Tolbert leads in rushing

We have the best kicker in the league

Adams wins the return job and runs back 4 TDs

DeAngelo Williams goes off for 1200+ yards and 8+ TDs. Balls so hard, motherf*ckers gonna fine him.

The biggest thing we can all be wrong about, is that Gettleman is the savior and knows what he is doing.  Remember, he was not "the man" in New York.  He worked for the man that worked for the man. I hope thats not the case.

Probably that the run D is instantly fixed with Star and Short. It could take some time.

The Huddle is not giving the development of Thomas, Dockery, and  Norman much consideration.  They will be solid.

Nobody is considering the fact that DJ Moore will probably be the backup FS and could compete for the job.

The Huddle seems unconcerned about RG now.  A fourth rounder from Onion State is not comforting to me.

The Huddle is also oblvious to the fact that Steve Smith is slowing down and will prove that we have no #1 WR.

The Panthers will do the opposite and have a fast start in 2013, winning 6 of their first 8, then struggle to go .500 after that.

One can only imagine the injuries that would set the table for that to occur...
