I would, because it would become a late 1st. The trickery is affording him/ willing to pay more than the Giants would to keep him. As they can match any offer we make.

But yes I would do it.

I think the days of wanton draft pick trading are over.

Don't see Gettleman making that kind of offer at all.

See but we have to send a pick AND sign Cruz to a deal....not cool

I could maybe be ok with one or the other.

That is why drafting a WR or signing a FA WR like Nicks is the best course of action

BTW that 1st Marty wanted to trade away to teams in the 2nd was for Clausen ....that  netted us Cam Newton the next year. Let's not gamble like that

A 1st for an undrafted guy......who'd win that deal?

Are you being serious here or just trolling?

Wait, doesn't NY need a RB?

NY doesn't believe in old expensive RBs....

Which is why we still have Double Trouble and Earth, Wind and Fire was dismantled very quickly. They also told Bradshaw to kick rocks the year Williams got paid and told him to find someone silly enough to pay him like we did Williams.

Giants know no one is going to throw a 1st their way. That's why they placed that high a tender on him. If it'd been a 2nd he'd be gone. Most teams aren't willing to part with 1st anymore. When was the last time a WR got traded for a 1st? Roy Williams?

Draft position is irrelevant once you're in the league. Teams would've lined up falling all over themselves to trade a 1st round pick for the undrafted Kurt Warner in his prime.

Cruz is NOT a #1 receiver. The 1st round is for #1s only. I think if we're patient and wait till next year we can get a tall #1. Even if it means swapping our 1st to get him.

As much as I like Cruz, he ain't worth a first round pick. No front office in the NFL does. If he were valued that highly some team would have signed him long ago. He's not Megatron.
