Weinke is the correct answer.  When did Jake start regressing?

I was a Bdjs for a long time, nothin but love for Jake. Him coaching Cam is not a good idea. He was what he was, Cam is going who knows where, no way but up....

This would be a terrible idea. Lack of experience coaching aside, the last thing Cam needs is the former leader of this team breathing down his neck telling him how to run this team. Even if the advice/coaching were good, the fact that he is a former Panther quarterback makes it awkward as hell.

You realize that Cam was coached and learned under a former Panther Quarterback right after he was drafted  - right?

QB coaches first and foremost need to be good teachers. Actual QB ability is much less important.

As far as I know, Jake has no teaching experience. No thanks.

Do Want:

He worked miracles with D-Will so we know he can serve in a mentoring role. He's got literally decades of experience. Don't think it would happen, but if I had to pick a former Panthers QB as QB coach, I'd say Vinny in a heartbeat.

Sure, but surely you see the difference between a short term training program in the offseason with a coach who is also coaching others (in short..its a business..especially at that time during the lockout), and also 1-15 himself as a starter, therby voiding the whole "former player is a great coach" idea...... and a team faculty coach who coaches for a much longer period of time dedicated to only 2-3 players.

Don't want a gunslinger/feel QB to help out Cam.

We need someone to help him with the finer points.

Someone needs to show Cam how to find Muhsin Mohammed and underthrow the pass.
