now more armed, well trained security, sure. that makes sense.

thats like saying if condoms are more accessible they will be used responsibly...oops.

its just a dumb idea.

then if no armed guards in schools, lets not have them at malls, banks, stadiums, Britt's....

and no, armed guards is not the same as abortion. only if the guy is wearing a camo vest and argyle socks. then maybe.

If you are for armed guards I'm also ready to place abortion clinics in high schools

then join me in a grass roots effort to remove armed guards from every location they are currently at, then we can place an abortion clinic right beside the Guidance Counselor's office.

When was the last time a robber went into a middle school to shoplift?

An Armed guard prevents robberies not blatant executions.

If there was an epidemic of people going into banks and murdering people then they'd be equivalent

but its a place where law abiding citizens go to conduct business and transactions and because the mere threat of someone coming in could go crazy, they have a guard.

would you rather have a trained guard or just let those that come in to the bank carry a concealed weapon?

These are one of those things that I read and had to read again and I'm still like WTF.

Why would they think this is a good idea? Someone explain this to me like I'm 9

this thread confuses me.  why should we take police out of banks just because some people think they don't need to be in certain school levels? (fwiw, I thought it was normal for a high school to have security guards...)
