I already said my piece on that earlier. They were right to look into a lot of these groups for very obvious reasons. They just could not be politically motivated.

Thousands of them were popping up vs. not many new ones for liberal groups in this time frame. Their chief interest was in getting specific candidates endorsed and elected, so many of them were skirting the law or at least pushing it as far as possible. With an overload of cases, some triage was done, and these groups were easy targets with a higher probability of getting revenue from.

Now compare some lower level IRS people doing this vs, say, the Attorney General firings under Bush. Which is more of a upper level controlled partisan effort? Add to this the fact that I've already documented here, that this stuff happened the other way under the last Administration, and the idea of more liberal minded IRS folks wanting to do things their way for a change, however wrong it was, is not that outrageous.

Well, the acting head of the IRS resigned.  Got to admit, I didn't think to much of this when I first heard it, but I guess some heads are rolling, even if they are acting heads.

But in an email to IRS employees, Miller claimed he would only be leaving next month because his assignment would be over.

'It is with regret that I will be departing from the IRS as my acting assignment ends in early June,' Miller wrote. 'This has been an incredibly difficult time for the IRS given the events of the past few days, and there is a strong and immediate need to restore public trust in the nation’s tax agency.

Sound like he was forced out?

More like a few more patsies falling on the sword for this joke of a President we have.

First Benghazi and now this.

Anyone who thinks that Obama is not in this up to his neck is dilusional.

He has managed to take the dirty Chicago politics and machine straight to Washington.

Media Matters talking points.

It's George again...

In those cases, each were due to instances where direct political attacks were made and the IRS found those to be in violation but CHOSE not to do anything.  Nothing to do with their applications to become 501c3 or c4s...
