The Panthers contacted Charles Woodson's agent...HOWEVER

He probably would not start here either.

He is 37 years old. There is a reason he is on the market still.

Panthers secondary would go from bad to respectable with that signing.  He might not start but he'd be a rotational player that could mentor the young guys.  Never hurts to have a guy with his credentials on your team.

I'd take woodson if he was using a walker.

If nothing else, just having Woodson in our secondary to help the young guys like Thomas/Norman/etc. along would be amazing.

I assume he wants a ring... if so Denver will probably be the choice (unless the 49ers call)...

Love to see him here.

I dunno... if he wants to start and has confidence, a 1 year contract for a likely starting gig is the best way to showcase your wares.

Besides he already has a ring.

I just don't see it happening considering the money situation. I think the much more likely scenario is we pick up somebody after final cuts.

pretty sure woodson wasnt going to play for the 1 year $1 million deal gettleman probably offered

Thats just about what he is worth at this point. Let someone else pay for a over the age FS.

I think many of you are underestimating the amount of SWAG Charles Heisman Woodson would bring.
