According to article Oden looks amazing. Worth shot?

It's obviously biased information (as stated in the article) but just because it's biased doesn't mean it's not true. I would love for the Cats to bring in Oden and put him through some drills/tests/workouts, worst case scenario check him out; for all we know he could be ready to go.

Just imagine a future of a healthy Oden and Noel... along with MKG and Kemba.

Sounds good to me.

Yes. 100% yes. And if I were GM I would put a little oomph in the offer with our cap space to make sure I got him.

If we still want to sign a max free agent we can amnesty Thomas.

7 footers don't grow on trees, I think it's well worth the risk

Not too sure how NBA contracts work in bonuses/incentives, but give him a low salary with a lot of potential bonuses based on playing time/achievements and I'd love it. Work him back slowly next season, hope that the players already in place continue to develop, hit it big in 2014, and suddenly the Horncats have a team.

Lets be honest, Greg Oden should go to a good team because there is no telling when he will blow out his knee again

And if you think that sentence should read "if" instead of "when" then we haven't been watching the same Greg Oden

I'd love to bring him in. Low risk, high reward.

I would actually pay him a nice chunk of change but to a shorter term contract.

Maybe like a 8 mill two year contract and if he isn't working out you have a good contract to trade at the deadline of the last year of his contract to a team who wants a decent expiring contract and pick up an asset or two for basically his contract.

I'd like to see us bring in Oden, he has an excellent skill set and would give us a dominant defensive presence if he can remain healthy. If he proves that he is healthy, then it would be worth taking him on a low risk type of contract.
