Lol, sure. You were actually my nominee for mod outside of myself...

Idk man, I had to get all that off my chest with the news breaking. I'm feeling all warm and bubbly. Oh, and nostalgic-ish-y, lol.

I had been doing most of my basketball related posting over at Bobcats Planet until the season was over, and for the most part avoided this specific forum b/c of all the arguments related to the rebrand.

So, I just thought i'd do a little pontificating in this moment of joyous exuberance. I am stoked man!

Lol preciate it, but the only reason I'm on 24/7 during the summer is because my internship fell through. Once school starts back up I need to get my poo together.

Whoever gets to be the mod though will without a doubt be better than KT lol.

Probably should vote but I'd be cool with Proudiddy.  I feel this forum is actually pretty chill minus the Cats vs Hornets banter, so once that is gone, it shouldn't be too bad.

Thanks Zaximus.  You've always been right here through thick and thin man, so it's much appreciated.

Not sure if serious, but I'll go for it anyways.

Bogues for sure. He was 5'3 and defied the odds of what was possible in the NBA at that size. It also helps that he stuck around in Charlotte after his career was over.

and

93 playoff series win against the Celtics

Bobby Phills jersey retirement ceremony

2001 playoff series sweep of the Heat.

Sorry I couldn't pick. If I had to pick it would be the Phills jersey retirement. Mainly because I remember it more so then the other two.

I vote for Prodiddy. He's a good poster, isn't an asshole, and is always active in the Hornets/Cats forum.

I said Bogues was my favorite player initially outside of MJ, mostly due to the reasons that 8789 already posted.  I, at the time, had extra incentive to pull for him because I was among the shortest kids in my grade all the way up through my freshman year of high school.  I didn't reach 5 feet until about 9th grade and then hit a spurt or two to reach average height of 5'10."  But, for awhile there, I was convinced if I was going to make it in basketball I had to model myself after Muggsy, lol.

But, I'm not gonna lie, I have a soft spot for Glen Rice as well.  Man, I loved that guy.

My best memory?

I was a football fanatic until I was about 13 or 14.  I was a fan, but I didn't watch or follow basketball closely at all until then.  That being said, I'm aware of the playoff upset of the Celtics earlier and other feats.  Rex Chapman at all-star weekend comes to mind as well.  But, I think one of my happiest moments was when Glen Rice made the all-star team and won all-star MVP after setting the record for most points in a quarter - WITH MJ playing alongside him.  That was incredible to me, and I was so happy to have one of our guys recognized on such a huge stage.

Worst memory?  I just had to share it...  That playoff series against Milwaukee will always be a bitter point for me.  When they had G-Rob, Ray Allen, and Sam Cassell.  Man, I HATED THEM.  I hated Ray Allen for a long time because of it.  I just felt like they were so dirty...  I still have parts of the games on VHS somewhere.
