49ers Crabtree suffers torn achilles

Best Answer 4Corners, 22 May 2013 - 01:16 PM

This is a devastating loss for the 9ers and Crabtree. Not to mention fantasy footballers, too.

Going to be interesting to see what the new Golden Boy of the NFL Kaepernick does now after losing such a vital part of his offense. Not to mention the film that's now available on him.

Looks like Patton, Jenkins and Davis are gonna have to step up.

Most def. They did acquire Boldin and this injury did occur early enough for them to make adjustments, but this is still a colossal blow to them.

well it's a good thing they took their WR corps seriously and picked up boldin and drafted patton.

you never know when one of the WRs you depend on is going to go down.

Jenkins had an epic 'bust-worthy' rookie season. I don't trust him either. I don't want to declare him a bust yet but AJ was abysmal at getting separation and off the line of scrimmage.

Aren't they going to run tests to confirm if it's a tear? If they haven't, it's a bit premature.

wow....I'd never wish an injury on any player or team but it does make it interesting to see how this will affect the team.  It's definitely early enough to make adjustments.  Randy Moss?

Yeah it sucks for them, but let's be honest here injuries are sort of a natural selection for sports.

it happened early enough for them to make adjustments but this is a big time loss.

I'm sure it wasn't "official" until they ran test on Kobe, too.

Couldn't agree more. Crabtree and Kap seemed to have the relationship Smith and Davis had going. If teams have figured out their pistol running game it could spell disaster for their playoff run
