A five-game ouster at the hands of the Boston Bruins in the Eastern Conference Semifinal round proved to be the final act with the New York Rangers for John Tortorella, who coached the team for the past four-plus seasons.

The Rangers announced his firing Wednesday afternoon. No replacement was named

If we didn't have Muller, I'd be very interested.

 

I'm actually a fan of Muller, it's JR that I'm not a fan of...

 

I don't understand how you can pretty much go your entire career without addressing a position. I don't ever recall a time where I sat back and said "wow, we have a good defense". We better be actively shopping for defensive players in free agency this year.

Muller is actually a really good players coach, all the guys like him and he had us on a tear before all the injuries.
