Haha! The best way to look at the question would be to consider who NEEDS the most athleticism to play his position. Like mentioned earlier Cam has a lot, but doesn't NEED it to play that position. Look at Manning/Brady. Doesnt mean that a QB doesnt have more than a DE.

boooo this man!

its a poll, not the $25000 question. Get off the fence ya sissy! :)

I think DE, CB, WR, LB, S are all very close, and with the recent TE's of (Davis, Gronk, Hernandez, Graham) you could make an argument for them as well

Pure athlete, Jason Pierre Paul is probably the best

Here let me make it easier for you. .

If you were a super villain, preferably with a cool villain name. . . like Drago Stilztenfist or SCP or something. . . and you could create a clone army of super soldiers but you couldnt clone one guy infinitely because the juice gets weak, which group of nfl players would you choose if you HAD to pick just one position?

. . maybe that wasnt easier

Cornerback gets my vote because they have to run with world-class receivers. You’ve got to start backwards and they’re going forward.  They know where they’re running, you don’t.  You’ve got to be tough enough to take on pulling guards and running backs and skilled enough and fast enough to cover the elite athletes, you know, guys that are Olympic-caliber speed.”

Actually, for me, it made it easier. Under your scenario LBs would be ideal. Good size speed, and strength, smart and instinctive, are natural motivators and leaders, and have to be athletic and just a little snarly.

I have often heard ST coaches say they would love a unit full of LBs.

So I guess if I was going to war. I would want LBs. So, LBs it is.

Thanks for the assistance. I'm off to vote now.

Pie for a thought provoking thread.

I kept changing my mind when I thought about it.. CB because of agility, tight tracking, speed, tackling. Then DE/LB I kind of have together because they're both fast beasts. Then I thought RB because you have to be fast, agile and stop on a dime but also strong enough to bulldoze and run-over so I went with RB.

Hard to generalise because we have one of the most athletic QBs but thats unusual. Some RB are small and not "beasty".

Keek would win LB argument it for me though if I were to revote.

I think NFL CB is the most athletically demanding position in all pro sports.

backpedaling, bailing, weaving, breaking..... you might have a point.

I went with LB. They have to possess the most well rounded athletic talent of any defensive position.

strength wise CB is arguably the weakest position on the field and strength is a pretty big aspect to consider when judging overall athleticism. size too.
