Queens of the Stone Age - Songs for the Deaf - For when I want to rock out

Kanye West - College Dropout - For when I want to hear what rap should sound like. Full of hits.

Of Monsters and Men - My Head is an Animal - A sleeper pick, but I won't want to listen to Rap and Hard Rock for the rest of my life. Some times I just want to chill out with some good folk/bluegrass/instrumental. And this album hits a lot of those niches.

I've actually really started to dig that album.

Beatles - Abbey Road

Bob Marley - Exodus

Ween - Chocolate and Cheese

really just a toss up between like 30 albums.  But hard to argue against any one of these personally.

Yeah I wouldn't consider a greatest hits compilation an album.  I know they can be awesome, who doesn't want to hear nothing but 14 badass songs in a row.

To me an album is about more than just the songs on the record. It's about what those artists were going through when they made the music; what inspired them, how the album flows.  How it fits into that musicians history.  And most importantly how those songs affect the listener.
