You are so full of it your eyes are turning brown.

I guess the only way you would know this to be a fact is if you visit the sites yourself.

Those that accuse are normally the ones who do as they accuse. Takes the spotlight off themselves.

It OK you can come out of the closet now.

AH.

Well maybe you're so full of it your eyes are turning brown. Accused someone else of it to take the heat off you, huh?

Whoever says that our safeties could hang with anybody else's like you did has to be full of poo anyways...

He's is exactly the same size as Gross.

True, but so was Lee Ziemba and Rashad Butler. Playing tackle in the NFL takes an amazing combination of size, speed, strength, and technique. If he can stick as a reserve after not playing offense for so long, I will be very, very impressed.

He's is exactly the same size as Gross. He has got an All Pro to teach him the ropes. I think it will be fun to see how he does with the second team during pre-season.

Doesn't mean he's going to make it. There's been very few who actually make the transition. I mean very, very, very few. Remember the Bengals' HardKnocks in 2009? The Bengals switched Jason Shirley (DT) to OG due to the lack of OL depth. Shirley is 6'5", 338lbs. Well, he's now playing for the Arizona Rattlers in the Arena League.

Obviously he has along way to go.

Two things that make me think he MIGHT be different.

1. He was recruited and played offensively TE and T at UCLA. So he does have some college level experience.  I am not sure what Shirley had so I cannot compare.

2. Matsko saw some potential while he was on the practice squad last year.

Those definitely aren't surefire attributes that will be the difference.  But, just maybe we get lucky.

It is obvious, not that Gross is declining, we need to start looking for a solid LT.  It would be a major coup if he is on our roster right now.

I'm pulling for him.

Whoever says that our safeties could hang with anybody else's like you did has to be full of poo anyways...

See your problem is you think that because we sucked last year it is a given we will suck this year.

Rivera has already said he has seen major improvement since switching Godfrey to FS.

http://www.panthers....bf-024d5396f917  He has said this prior to this article as well.  Which I sure you would try and throw back into your argument.

Campbell is a smart man, Stanford man, highly educated and a player Rivera/McDermott as liked.

Mitchell, came from a pretty fair defense 13th overall 15th against the pass.  Someone who I think will win the SS position.

Lester could be the UDFA find of the year.

Take the high possibility that our D-Line is going to be much better, Our linebackers are amazing and our defense IMO finally has the tools to really play a Jim Johnson style defense.  A defense I think McDermott has been dying to use but just hasn't had the proper tools.

I THINK, I BELIEVE, our safeties are going to really excel because our entire defense is improved.  It doesn't matter that we don't have a big name back there.  It matters that you have the right people in the right place.  IE moving Godfrey to FS and getting some solid talent to compete for SS.

Keep your negative attitude, I will keep my positive attitude.  While your OPINION is that we cannot have upper echelon defensive backfield because we don't have a big name Safety.  I think you are wrong.

You like to trash peoples opinions and call them stupid and ignorant because you don't agree but rarely offer solid reason to back your opinion.

So Genius tell me...  WHY we cannot have a upper Echelon group at Safety.  I want to HERE WHY not your lips flapping about how the sucked last year.

this is an easily answerable question ...uh, because we don't have the talent for that

you keep getting hung up on this "negative/positive" dichotomy when that's never been the issue. The issue has always been declaring us instant contenders when we're not even out of June yet, and your overbearing personality in general on this forum. The Panthers can win this year if they come up with a good scheme and are blessed with the right amount of luck. But they will have to prove that they aren't the same old team they've been for years at this point, which means I've got to wait until September rolls around and actually see them put checks in the win column. But, by all means, continue double-fisting koolaid if that's what you think it takes just to have a positive outlook, skipper.

Simply excelling is not what average or abysmal safeties do when they have a good front seven with them and don't get exposed. Truly good safeties will more often than not cover their zone or successfully eliminate the threat of a long completion when the pass rush is unsuccessful.

The thing is, it'd really suck to replace probably the best LT to ever played in a Panthers' uniform (Gross) with a DT converted OT. You want a solid OT, look for one in a stacked OT draft next year, or find one through FA. It'd be a Cinderella story if Chandler can make the transition, but likely won't be one.

He is adored by Rivera.  Could just be a great guy to have on the team.  Why say something like "replacement for Gross" and place unreasonable expectations a player who very well may not even make the team..

You call it Koolaid wtfever and I call yours blantant pessimism.

Declaring us instant contenders? We were a top 10 defense last year with as you would say with a talent strickened defense.  We have added huge pieces to that defense and to assume we will regress defensively is negative as you call my double-fisting koolaid postive attitude.  You continually are hung up on individual play and do not or will not consider the team as a whole.

You say no talent, I would agree in the past we didn't have the talent.  However the players we added I feel, as management does, that these players will fit what we will do.

I will concede you are correct about waiting until September to see.   But as a knowledgeable fan I feel with what we have added defensively our defensive backfield is going to be upper echelon.  That's My Opinion and your negativity attitude isn't going to change it.

Why do you continue to make this a personal attack?  Cause you don't agree with me?  Then again I am not the only one you fire hateful, disrespectful comments to.

Yeah I lash out at those that get pissy over reposting but name calling and insults are apart of it.   You cannot say the same.

Why your "Handle" insinuates insults right? Fresh Bastard altered to appease the mods.

He was asked to move to OL. But yeah its basically because there's no room at DT. I read an article a while back that had Rivera talking about when they were scouting him. It said something to the affect, that Cal coaches moved him from Oline to Dline out of need and not because he wasn't good at the position. Also found it interesting that he was our emergency O-Linemen last season. He could possible be the same this year for the D-Line, if he makes the squad.

Interesting point (except he was at UCLA and not Cal, if I am not mistaken, but no biggie--probably were thinking about Rivera's alma mater) about the emergency lineman. He could be that for the DL as he learns OT.  There is nothing insignificant about a player who can possibly save a roster spot.
