I've was watching the local news station in Boston after the arraignment yesterday and the anchor was throwing the T word around left and right. It has also appeared in numerous articles since yesterday.

I think in this case Thug is a gentle word to describe Hernandez.

So wait, maybe its not a racist slur then? Or are we saying now that the T word is racist but it can cross racial lines?

That is one dangerous mutated slang.

Three days to read this fugging thread. And the only thing I learned? That when united against a common enemy. Or in this case, common idiot, you guys can actually be civil to one another. Who knew?

Yeah, I don't get it. Thug refers to someones mentality and actions. Not ones race.

Yes. Thugs are all races. I use the term often.

Go read the 'gay player' thread and you'll forget all about that.

No they do not. Here is an article you might find interesting that discusses how law enforcement wants to pass a law requiring service providers to keep the data, but as of right now, they do not.

http://news.cnet.com/8301-13578_3-57556704-38/cops-to-congress-we-need-logs-of-americans-text-messages/

I have connections at the federal agencies and I am on a task force with access to electronic data. The NSA, CIA, FBI, DEA, and whatever other federal agency you want to name does not have access to stored text messages. Why? Because they aren't stored, that's why. Emails, IP addresses, phone records, cell tower information, gps coordinates, subscriber information, log in times, etc.... are all stored, therefore the government has access to that. Listen, it's common sense really, in order for them (or us) to get all that data, they would have to effectively digitally wiretap EVERY cellphone in the world. It takes an act of god to get a title 18 wiretap as it is. Do you know what this is?

It's covered under the Electronic Communications Privacy Act found here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electronic_Communications_Privacy_Act

In reguards to broken cell phones and retreiving data. There is a training that teaches officers how to hook up a cell phone that has been damaged and extract information off of the sim card. So, if law enforcement in Mass. obtained text messages, it was through the actual phone itself, and not some nefarious secret spy agency that logs every cell phone text message in the world. I'm done with this topic. If you keep believing it's possible that's up to you. Honestly, I have lied and told people, " Hey man, you might as well tell me the truth, because you know I can get those text messages anyways." It works because people think it is so, lol.

i have family that works for both at&t and verizon...despite what that article says and what you want to believe, all that information is kept a heck of a lot longer than what's being said in that article.

i guess you can say both at&t and verizon's legal departments can perform acts of God.

people want to be niave with what can and can't be done and can never fathom is and has been done.

the fact that law enforcement wants to make it a requirement to keep the information for a set period of time says it can and already is being done.

I am almost ashamed to admit that I spent 3 1/2 hours reading that thread. Should have known better. But it is like a car accident. I know I should just keep moving. But I just had to look. Kinda like how on hot summer days the inlaws all sit around without a shirt. Even the women. I know I should stay away, but something just keeps drawing me in. Sad in a way, really really really sad.

Them boys have mental problems. But it does seem to be that way. All in all its tied to the same root problem. We as humans treat others like Poo. And we don't value others.
