There was a lab at Utah State that inserted genes from a spider that coded for silk into a goat so that goats create silk in their milk, lol

That shows an incredible grasp of genetics that borders on the divine.  Humans are no different then any other animal. We all exist using the same set of genetic material, albeit arranged in a near infinite possibility of combinations.  Considering that there is more difference between the goat and the spider than there is between us and the goat. It should not be much more difficult to reproduce that effect in nearly any other animal to include the human one.

It  would be possible to add silk to human breast milk, but it hasn't been done yet.  since it's a mammal, there will be homologs of the genes and it *probably* wouldn't be too difficult.  I also don't know why anyone would want to, haha

The real crazy and awesome shit is when we'll be able to have cells on a plate producing proteins and enzymes for us that we can harvest en masse.  No need for the living organism, no need for killing it for meat or anything, we'll just have petri-dish grown steaks. ;)

I really doubt a human cloning has been successful... and in this case, it hasn't been done with mammals(gestation out of womb).  someone woulda published having done it on mammals for sure, and they woulda made the cover of Nature, or probably had an entire issue devoted to it heh.
