The real crazy and awesome poo is when we'll be able to have cells on a plate producing proteins and enzymes for us that we can harvest en masse.  No need for the living organism, no need for killing it for meat or anything, we'll just have petri-dish grown steaks. ;)

lol, much like the cloning phenomon  None that we know of. :D

 

I really doubt a human cloning has been successful... and in this case, it hasn't been done with mammals(gestation out of womb).  someone woulda published having done it on mammals for sure, and they woulda made the cover of Nature, or probably had an entire issue devoted to it heh.

Right now they are showing a man that has successfully genetically combined a SPIDER AND A GOAT!!! He has produced Spider Goat Silk. Go fuggin figure.

That shows an incredible grasp of genetics that borders on the divine. Humans are no different then any other animal. We all exist using the same set of genetic material, albeit arranged in a near infinite possibility of combinations. Considering that there is more difference between the goat and the spider than there is between us and the goat. It should not be much more difficult to reproduce that effect in nearly any other animal to include the human one.


So when did you go vegan?
