Please make point when you troll.

Trolling 101: Use actual stats. comeback win is NOT a stat. Only losers and lucky people do things on a comeback. Most people get it right at the first time or get it wrong. Going back to school to get your GED at 50 doesn't make you a genius. Michael Jordan put 50 on teams so he can sit down in the 4th quarter so he doesn't need to comeback. Employers don't employ people to comeback and get it right. There is a reason people put their hand over their head after losing on a comeback.

Cam is a winner and will always be a winner. Won 1 national championship, 1 heisman in 1 year of college football.

Trolling 102: Don't be obvious you're trying to rile up your audience. Like the phrase 'has never', what period are you referring to? His 2 years in the league? Two years is pretty countable buddy, you don't need that phrase 'has never' there to make your point.

its interesting that your proof that cam is a winner only references his college days. i also find it very interesting that panther nation generally doesnt think much of comeback wins, could the reason for that be that cam has never had one? your michael jordan reference is absurd. one of michael's greatest attributes was his clutch play at the end of games. you must not have been around when he hit the gamewinner to beat georgetown for the national championship as a teenager, to say nothing of all of his gamewinners as a pro. and to really demonstrate your low football IQ, you state that only losers do things on a comeback. lets take a second and dissect that one. there was a rookie QB this year that tied the alltime mark of seven 4th quarter comebacks. that QB's team won 11 games. on the other hand you have a bojangler of a QB who had zero comeback wins and his team won 7. now i know this is a tough one for you, but concentrate, would you rather have 11 wins or 7 wins? see, i knew you could do it. and you called the one with 11 wins a loser, you silly boy. now then, as far as my trolling style goes, and i really hate to use this term again, but i find it to be pure GENIOUS!

Jordan was a freshman wasn't the MAN on the 82 Carolina basketball team.  Worthy and Perkins were the leaders of that team.  Not to mention Dean Smith.

Of course, Jordan hit many a game winners throughout his career but those meant nothing until he got a supporting cast.   63 Against Boston.  THEY LOST.

And obviously you only watch the Jordan highlight films.  Jordan was a Bull for 7 seasons before they finally won the NBA Championship.  And they didn't win it because he was a great clutch shooter.  It was because he had a great team behind him.  Mostly full of castoffs.

Pay attention.

Your saying that the only way we win is if Cam puts us on his back?  And I have a lower IQ?  I guess what you are saying as long as Cam Throw 350 and rushes for 75 yds per game. We'll win.  Don't need a defense just climb on his back.

As far as the 4th Qtr Comebacks. How many times has he given us the lead in the 4th quarter and the defense lose it for him? Is that his fault?   He doesn't get credit for the "Comeback" but he put the team in the lead.

some of you guys need to go back and look at how many times cam is actually hit while running the read option, it rarely happens except for in the Denver game i believe, but he will usually slide.I do agreed with most that we shouldn't fall in love with it, especially with our shady training staff i wouldn't advise it

i said goal to go.. not goal line.

Basically the same thing.

Inside the 10, the field gets significantly collapsed.  Less room for the WR's to move...safeties in the box.

Teams are looking for the run (and especially Cam given our past two seasons).  They are keying on him and love the opportunity to take shots on him.

We bought in Fat Tolbert for a reason....and that is short yardage and goal to go situations.  We should use him.

I don't think Cam should be the leading rusher, but let's remember that he's quite a bit bigger than any of the other rushing QBs historically.  The guy is a beast and defenders tend to bounce off of him.  Now that's not to say he couldn't get hurt, but let's not approach the issue as if her were of slight build like a Michael Vick.  Even Russell Wilson and RG III are considerably smaller than Cam.  I don't mind if we game plan for him to hand it off more often, I think that is wise, simply because of all of the money we have invested at the RB position.  YOu want to get more value out of those salaries than we got last year.  But if we are afraid to let Cam be Cam, then that will probably not translate into wins either.  Seems to me that the offense is MUCH more effective when Cam breaks off a 30 yard run or two.  Its a big part of how this offense moves the ball.  He needs to run the ball on designed plays and when he breaks containment, even more than McNabb did.

The fact of the matter is that Cam is the kind of QB that is breaking the mold of what an NFL QB can accomplish:  he is deceptively fast rushing the ball and is a surprisingly accurate pocket passer.  Hopefully Shula and Co won't try to hold him back and force him to become one type of QB or the other.  He can be both and will have to be for the Panthers to make it to the playoffs.  The problem last year wasn't Cam as much as it was Chud's stupid base offense out of the read option.  It is an effective look, but only when used as an alternative look from the base 2 TE that seemed to work so well in 2011.  I think Shula sees this and won't make the read option his base set.  As long as the read option is producing 6+ yards per carry, it will be in the game plan, though.  It has to be a surprise.  If opposing defenses know its coming, they are fast enough and smart enough to sniff it out.

I think this is the season where it all comes together.  The key will be for us to be no worse that .500 after the first 6 games.  Then, I think we can roll through some victories.

Ginn will fly, it's the catching the ball part that can't be guaranteed.

Sorry, I couldn't keep my self from typing that. lol

Taking the top off the defense in and of itself will free up Smitty and others underneath. He will catch some and miss some.  Still when has Ginn ever had someone who could throw it as far and as accurate as Newton..  Kaepernick was the only one with a big arm and they didn't even throw to Ginn.  If he is ever going to become a receiver, this is the year.

just off the top of my head cam did lead a 90 yard drive to ice the redskins game and stood toe to toe with drew brees in the super dome to come back from a double digit halftime deficit.  then there are the three games (first falcons game, second bucs game, bears) where the defense gave up walk-off scoring drives.

of course, none of that holds a candle to andrew luck leading his team in to field goal range with 3:00 left to play and the defense holds.  teeray put together this awesome post where he described all of andrew luck's "come from behind wins" and seriously half of them were like "colts kick field goal, defense holds for 3+ minutes".  i wish i could find that thread again.

He didn't win the 11 games by himself give credit to the players around him .....  Vick Ballard TD vs Titans .

Obviously you have a little bit of hate in you....Cam may not speak the most proper English or isn't "educated" in your mind but he is more successful in his job than you are at yours.  :sword:

he'll still definitely pull it on goal-to-go situations

I hope not, unless he has space and/or it's a [inches] sneak.

That's what Tolbert is there for.

Yes he actually nearly matched his rushing yards for 2011. What'd it get us, one more win?

My point was, if he runs for that many yards we're going nowhere once again. I don't want that.

There's a reason no other teams QB had that many rushing yards and remained reasonably healthy.

Though I agree with you in principle. I won't be surprised if Cam accumulates between 500-700 yards anyway (even if he's not used in as many short yardage situations and Read Option plays).

Cam's passing threat, size, speed, power, vision and elusiveness, just turn normal QB 2-5 yd scrambles, into 7-21 yard scrambles.

I think the key, will be watching the amount of rushes and hits Cam takes, as opposed to the  total yards.
