We don't have a big house. Bought it when I was 24 and it just feels like home. We have good neighbors. We don't have anything luxurious in the house. What I do have is a gorgeous wife, twin 10 year old boys and a baby girl, a few college funds and an early retirement in view.

And a kick ass shed in an actual yard.

I've also given this some thought. Seems the neighborhood kids have grown wise to my old tricks and can no longer be lured into my old, wooden shed. Thus, I'll be building a military-grade, titanium, model G-261 shed with custom "Blackbeard's revenge" mahogany interior. I'll do all the wiring myself, code the security system, and post pics of it when I'm done. Needless to say, it will be far superior to anything you essentially-homeless plebs could even dream of. That'll show all your poor hicks how pathetic your lives really are!

Welcome to the Alejandro show!

That doesn't mean it was a good idea, look at your staining job on your mirror and lower part of bar, look at the finish. I did every inch of electrical, every electrical fixture, every light switch, outlet, 2 full circuit breaker panels, entire central vacuum system, entire automation system, entire audio video phone to every room, all drainage plumbing for new second floor. AC zone control system, entire security camera system, every door, every inch of Floor and door molding, about 2/3 crown molding, distributed audio/video. And a ton more. I've flipped a bunch of houses with my family when I was younger starting at age 13, so I've done a ton more than that little grade school project you attempted.

Tell me a little more about this AC zone control system you installed....how many zones do you have? How many dampers? Square footage of your house? Return sizes? Heat pump? Straight A/C with gas? 90+ gas furnace? Tell me a little more about it....lol. Don't bullshit me Alice.

I have two trane systems 2 ton 2nd floor, 3.5 ton 1st floor. Total ft 4,388. Keep in mind I have a sealed home with foam insulation this the lower tonage required. 2nd floor is about 1600 ft and is straight system with aprilaire dehumidifier. I didnt zone second floor because it is just my bedroom and study, and program thermostat goes to 80 during day.

It's floor has 3 zones, 2,800 sqft. I have the main zone den/dining/kitchen all open area, zone 2 is the two downstairs guest bedrooms, and zone 3 garage. Damper size varies, but I believe 12" to trunk line feeding bedrooms, 10" to garage, and 12" bypass with pressure sensor in supply plenum. Aprilaire Zone control Panel runs off two 24vac converters, like what you use for alarms, one powers panel, one passes through to power dampers. I have 18/6 to three zone thermostats. The two bedroom are opposite ends of hallway, only thermostat is in down master bed. Pretty simple to retrofit and panel can stand alone.

My system was preplanned, so AC guy installed main lines feeding each zone going to distribution boxes, so I only needed one damper per zone. You can just use multiple dampeners if not easy to redo lines. I actually have 4 dampeners left over I can sell you cheap, my AC guy installed the dampers, although not hard, just flex over collar, tie strap in place, tape over. Aside from that, i did everything else.

Wrapped metal plenums > your ductboard plenums. Makes for a cleaner system. I'm rolling with the metal in my rinky dink house.

"My plenums are better than yours!!!!11!1
