I think regular season football would suffer if they didn't have the preseason... It's debatable how many games there should be. The vets would probably say one, those guys on the bubble probably appreciate the opportunity to showcase themselves.

As for the fans, its good and bad... I have no desire to attend preseason games, but I watch every second of them on TV to see the rookies and free agents we picked up.

All I know is last year in pre season read option was scarce, it was also scarce in my trips to Wofford. Yet we opened the season with it as our base offense.

Who cares about preseason? I know I don't.

Yeah, it's important for looking at personnel in game situations, but it can be damned hard to watch.

So it's important for the staff and players, but for fans?  I won't speak for anyone else, but I don't cry when I miss a preseason game.

The team better play our starting oline a lot.
I'm tired of them being so inconsistent out of the gates.

It's been said so many times... Yes and no.  Important practice and fine tuning for the season... yes.   Is record important.... no.

case and point 0-16 lions were 4-0 in the pre-season.
