ESPN.com’s Marc Stein reports that Dalembert will be the Mavs’ primary target after their pursuit of Andrew Bynum fizzled. A source told ESPN’s Chris Broussard that Bynum decided to sign with the Cleveland Cavaliers.

There simply aren’t many other quality alternatives in free agency to fill the Mavs’ massive void at center, considering that it’s pretty much a given that restricted free agent Nikola Pekovic will return to Minnesota.

I really like what the Pelicans have done...

They...

Re-signed Al-Farouq Aminu

Traded For Jrue Holiday

Traded for Tyreke Evans

Signed Greg Stiemsma

Signed Anthony Morrow

Pair those guys with Eric Gordon, Anthony Davis, Ryan Anderson, Jason Smith, Darius Miller, Austin Rivers, and Terrel Harris... and they actually have a decent roster.

• From Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports:

Chauncey Billups has reached agreement on a two-year contract to return to the Detroit Pistons, league sources told Yahoo! Sports. The deal will be worth $5 million-plus for Billups, league sources said.

• They got their man according to Adrian Wojnarowski and Marc Spears of Yahoo Sports.

Atlanta Hawks restricted free-agent guard Jeff Teague has signed a four-year, $32 million offer sheet with the Milwaukee Bucks, league sources told Yahoo! Sports. The Hawks have three days to match the offer sheet or Teague will rejoin his old Hawks coach, Larry Drew, in Milwaukee.
