• Jarrett Jack played big point guard minutes for the Warriors off the bench, and was often featured in crunch time lineups. But he has agreed to join the Cavaliers, reports Marcus Thompson of the Bay Area News Group. The deal is for four years and $25 million.

Carl Landry had a player option to return to the Warriors next season for $4 million, but opted out to pursue a bigger, long-term deal. It turned out to be the smart choice, as he has agreed to a four-year deal worth $26 million to play for the Sacramento Kings.

• The Dallas Mavericks and guard Devin Harris are close to finalizing a three-year deal worth in excess of $9 million, sources told ESPN.com’s Marc Stein.

The Mavs struck an agreement Saturday to bring Harris back to the team on which he began his career as the fifth pick overall in the 2004 NBA draft. The deal can’t be officially signed until Wednesday, when the league lifts its annual moratorium on free-agent signings and trades.

• We may find out as the Hawks are targeting Ellis, reports Marc Stein at ESPN.

With the future of restricted free agent point guard Jeff Teague still uncertain, Atlanta has roughly $10 million in available salary-cap space to potentially use on Ellis. Sources say that the Hawks have also given center Andrew Bynum some thought, but all the latest signals suggest that Ellis is the Hawks’ top current target.

• The Clippers continued their shrewd offseason decision-making by filling that void with Darren Collison, who has agreed to a two-year deal according to multiple reports.

• Rockets agrees to two-year deal with Francisco Garcia

Francisco Garcia was essentially a throw-in as part of the deal made at the trade deadline that sent Thomas Robinson from the Kings to the Rockets.

• From Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports:

As Dwight Howard leaves Los Angeles, the Lakers and free-agent center Chris Kaman have a growing mutual interest, league sources told Yahoo! Sports.

Kaman played his first eight NBA seasons for the Los Angeles Clippers, and a return to Southern California to join the Lakers has strong appeal to him, a league source told Yahoo! Sports.

• The Milwaukee Bucks have agreed on a two-year, $6.5 million deal with Carlos Delfino that includes a team option for a third year that could pay him nearly $10 million, league sources tell Yahoo! Sports.

• Report: Hickson reaches three-year deal to join Nuggets

Denver will give Hickson, a 6-foot-9 forward-center, the annual full mid-level exception of approximately $5 million, plus the 4.5 percent annual bonuses allowed per the Collective Bargaining Agreement, sources said.

I think Kaman would actually be a good fit for the Lakers He is a low maintenance guy who won't whine about deferring to Kobe.

Dwight Howard - 4 years @ 22mil a year

Did we overpay for Jefferson... No, I believe he would have received comparable contract anywhere

Was there better value available in Hickson... yes. $5M a year is less than half of what we are paying Jefferson, but his offense is not nearly as polilshed as Jeffersons.

Does that mean it was the wrong move?  Time will tell, it mainly depends on how JJ Hickson progresses as we know we are getting a 20-10 guy with Jefferson.

I would have loved to have both Hickson and Jeffeson on the starting front court rotating Zellar and Biyombo.

5 mil a year for JJ Hick is a steal!

** @Marc Stein

Sources briefed on the situation told ESPN.com that the Hawks and Bucks have in recent days discussed a sign-and-trade deal to land Brandon Jennings in Atlanta and send fellow restricted free agent Jeff Teague to Milwaukee to reunite with former Hawks coach Larry Drew. ESPN.com reported early in free agency that the Bucks, at Drew’s behest, had interest.

Lakers have reached out to Lamar Odom, but it been hard to determine how high interest level is on either side thus far.

Al Jefferson was ranked by multiple sites as the 3rd best player in this free agent class... I don't think $13.5 is an overpayment; it's actually a very fair deal to both sides.

** David Aldridge         @daldridgetnt

Will Bynum's deal in Detroit is for two years, $5.75 million.

** Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports:

The Cleveland Cavaliers are pushing for free-agent center Andrew Bynum to accept a two-year, $24 million-plus, incentive-based contract offer, league sources told Yahoo! Sports on Monday night. The Cavaliers met with Bynum in Cleveland on Monday, but could fast lose patience with waiting on the two-time NBA champion center to make a decision on accepting the offer, which includes a team option in the second year of the deal, sources said.

If Andrew Bynum gets a 2yr/24mil then I will feel great about Jefferson'a deal.

I guess we'll have to see what the "incentive based contract" part means, but yeah 2 years at 12 per for a guy with the . . . issues of an Andrew Bynum makes the Jefferson contract look fairly tame. If a team like the Cavs is willing to throw that kind of money at a question mark like Bynum, then we payed about the market rate for a good free agent, which is shocking.
