Frank Scwhab: Cam Newton’s greatness is being overshadowed by a lot of needless criticism

I don't see it as being racist at all.  They don't have the same negativity with RG3 and its all about attitude.  RG3 comes across as humble where Cam comes across as arrogant.  That's why he gets so much grief.  I'll still take Cam over RG3 any day.  He is just on another level in my opinion.

We can't expect every black QB to behave like RG3 to be 'accepted' or not given the due respect. In fact RG3 makes it easier to poo on Cam because they can always say "They don't have the same negativity with RG3 and its all about attitude".

I agree he is going to be great however I think it would make him a lot more popular if he showed a little more charisma in interviews like rg3 does.

You are wrong for this post on so many levels. Why did you do this to your credibility?

What....

Cam why can't you act white in your interviews so it'll be easier for brain dead neanderthals to accept you!?

There's been a huge misconception of Cam Newton. Cam Newton's season was relatively close to his rookie year.

Rookie year- 4051 yards, 21 TDs, 17 int, 60%, 84.5 qbr, 709 rushing yards & 14 rushing TDs.

Sophomore year- 3869 yards, 19 TDs, 12 int, 57.7%, 86.2 qbr, 741 rushing yards & 8 rushing TDs.

Cam didn't hit a sophomore slump of any kind. He just got lost in all the RG3, Luck, and Wilson hype.

The only young QB (under 25) that I'd consider taking over Cam is arguably Luck. Luck seems to have his head on better but Cam seemed to make huge strides towards the end of the season. Saw less moping. And this is coming from an Eagles fan.

Believe me on this, in 2-3 years Luck will be just like sanchez.

With over 400 years of force subjugation black people never act white or assimilate, why would they(Cam) start now. In fact it's a complete deviation into a different culture. Assimilation is not an option.

if it is used in quotes and you provide the link is that copyright infringement?

damn good to know from now on

Quotes and links are nice, but they won't keep you out of trouble if someone with deep pockets wants to make you feel some pain in your own.

On the real though, you probably don't have to worry about it 99 times out of 100. The thing is though, people want you to come to their sites and read their material because Internet traffic is akin to currency in many situations.  If you read their material (particularly in its entirety) on someone else's site, they are losing out if they are intent on earning money from their site.  Of course it's not as egregious as taking someone's publication, printing it up and selling it. On the other hand, I suppose some might argue that content on the Internet is the wave of the future, and is even more important today than actual printed publications, even though the mechanism to make money may not be quite as profitable as traditional models.

i thought about traffic to the site= money earned.

but i figured citing the source negated copyright infringment. i definitely will be more careful in the future.

So we've got Robert Griffin getting openly called a cornball brother on television. Now suddenly Cam needs to speak and carry himself more like Griffin if he wants to be taken seriously and win over mouth breathing troglodytes?

Sounds totally reasonable.

Darn good article...I think Cam gets more negative remarks because of our record but thats ok. I believe that Cam is the type of guy that thrives on doubters and thats good for us...

i don't think its anything against cam.   i think if he were playing for the skins and rg3 were playing for us, the media would be all over cam's nuts about how he's the next great thing
