A 5th seed in the playoffs would be fun...

And you could also package the 9th and 13th picks to move up as far as possibly 5th to take one of Randle, Smart, or Harrison...

We'd have to include MKG, Zeller, or Kemba.

Eh, I don't know. The 5th pick for two lotto picks is pretty fair. Plus it all depends on the team with the 5th pick.

JR is a better player than Hendo but I'd rather keep Hendo at this point so we can stay true to our rebuilding plan. There's no need to sign JR now bc we're not looking to be a win now team. We just need to see improvements.

If the top prospects really live to the hypes, what Top5 team would be wiling to move down for two low lottery picks? More than likely none unless you include a player.

which may mean that other teams in the league aren't willing to offer that much to a 6th man

No, the QO is based off of his original contract because he was a first round draft pick.

What is the locker room fit with JR? He is not known to be a team guy or a leader. Would he challenge Kemba's leadership?

With such a young team I could see him being a problem.

I actually don't think J.R. Smith is a bad of teammate as people think he is...

Casey Jacobsen is the only player that actually said J.R. Smith was a bad teammate and he is now playing in Germany...

In New York, J.R. didn't have any problems with teammates, his only problems occurred off the court (the Rihanna incident, which was overblown). His teammates actually told Smith to keep shooting during while he was in his slump.

In Charlotte, there would not be nearly the amount of distractions as there was in New York, and he would finally get to be a featured player.

It's a win-win for Charlotte and Smith.

I'm not sure about inside the locker room, but I have never liked his attitude since the Nuggets days. And featuring him would mean a drop off on Kemba productivity. JR is a guy who wants to take those winning shots and being on this team he's going to want the ball awfully lot. I don't think it'd be a good fit pairing him up with Kemba on the court and off the court. I see tension coming.

I don't see there being tension at all. Smith is a great shooter (something the Bobcats have only had twice: Stephen Jackson/Jason Richardson) and a player that could actually help Kemba. It would be one thing if Kemba and Smith played a similar game, but they are two different players. I actually recall you wanting Kemba to be a a pass first point guard like Chris Paul... well with players like J.R. Smith and Al Jefferson, he finally gets the chance to be that point guard.

Also if you are worried about people taking shots away from Kemba, you should start with your guy Big AL who attempts more shots per game than J.R. Smith.

I know for sure he wasn't a good teammate in NO and Denver. In NY he might have change but I don't want him to effect the culture this team is Building. If he is not the guy who will stay in the Gym day and night spend more time working on his game then he does partying. Then I don't want him.

We have a core of guys (Kemba, Biz, MKG, Hendo and now Zeller) who do nothing but work in a gym and eat sleep and breath B-ball. If he isn't like that then I don't want him.

JR takes a lot of bad shots and isn't know for his passing.

Let's see if you can count how many guarded shots he takes and how many open teammates he misses. How many shots he takes early in the shot clock. How many times you see no ball movement just 1 on 1 hero ball.
