If the Bobcats sign JR Smith and Jefferson, there would be a ton of 120-110 losses. It would be fun to watch at least. Biyombo would have to be in the starting lineup though.

At 10 mil, I easily take JR over Hendo. Only Bobcats fans would think that Hendo is worth that money. I just don't know what direction this team is leaning toward with the possible signing of Big Al and now courting JR. You can't tell me that with those two additions we're not going to be a Playoffs team this upcoming season. From thinking that we could have "3" 1st rounders next year to potentially having "none" (Chicago, Top10 protected: TNT).

What is the Portland pick we're still owed? Is it possible to still make the playoffs and get a lottery pick?

We would absolutely lose our to Chicago for TNT (top10 protected). We will have to pray that we lands Portland's and Detriot's.

Oh, if they sign both of those guys. Chicago would definitely be getting the Bobcats pick. I don't see how that lineup couldn't at least out score teams 40-44 nights in the season.

Kemba, Sessions

JR Smith, Gordon

MKG, Taylor

Biz, Zeller, McRoberts

Jefferson, Haywood, Biz.

That's 3 guys that are capable of 20 points in the starting lineup with Kemba, Smith and Jefferson. Session, Gordon and Zeller on the bench should all be capable of getting 10 points. They should be able to score at least 100ppg a night, might give up over 100 most nights as well though.

A 5th seed in the playoffs would be fun...

And you could also package the 9th and 13th picks to move up as far as possibly 5th to take one of Randle, Smart, or Harrison...

If JR bites, before signing him they could do a sign & trade with him for a future first rounder.

He's a rfa, that's usually how it goes.

Sign and trades are a rarity, because most teams don't have the cap space to do them or simply don't want to help another team out (i.e. picks).

maybe they think he's worth less than they offered him and are going to see his market value before trying to match

You only give a player a QO, you don't want to give him $10M, him sign it and find out that his market was 7 mil.

Hendo's QO is less than 4.5 mil.

which may mean that other teams in the league aren't willing to offer that much to a 6th man

So, here's the scenario... We sign Big Al and JR, we get in the playoffs as the 6th seed, get Detroit's pick, have Silver work some lottery magic, and bam, we land the #1 pick and Andrew Wiggins.
