and the idea that college football has nothing to teach the pros is something that you should talk to belichick about because he obviously doesn't believe it nor does all the other spread football inspired offenses out there. real innovation is coming from the college ranks more than it is in the pros and the pros are adapting to what college is doing. they have to.

A sprinkle here and there would be ok. But no full blown air raid stuff.

I think he can be also. I also think he'd be a very good weapon in hurry up/no huddle. Where he could be used as a WR or a RB. Remember when Chud flanked our backs out? Well I think that play works a lot better with Barner in, compared to the others.

Smith was a 2nd rounder. Tavon was the primary receiver. Credibility shut down!

Any offense would look impressive playing in a conference with zero top 20 D's and scheduling powerhouses like Marshall and James Madison.  So innovative they squeaked out a record one game above .500.   The only thing we have in common with WVUs offense is a black qb and a short wr.  Even bleacher report looks impressive in contrast to reading this idiot's article.

baily had the same number of receptions, more receiving yardage and a lot more receiving TDs.

not exactly shutting down credibility.

btw, it wouldn't be a bad thing to take after st. louis in taking WRs after this past draft. they picked up both austin and bailey.

Only show Geno is not a one read guy. But in all, Tavon was the go to guy on that team. Receiving and rushing.

I'm not saying we should run a college offense, but I could envision a package with Gettis/Hixon and Ginn on the outside, Smith and Joe Adams in the slot and Barner in the backfield. Not a lot of teams would be able to deal with that much speed on the field all at once.

Interesting fantasy, it is.

The Air Raid offense was only good against crap defenses.

It was easily grounded by decent yet not outstanding D's like Syracuse and K State.
