You can't make an assertion without needing confirmation from more homers? It's okay, it will come with age.
Oh, and by the way, baseball teams, NBA teams and others do it too. Sorry to open up the real world to you, but it happens. In fact, the NBA is trying to stop it to some sort.
When September rolls around, check out baseball, it will blow your split down the middle mind
Sitting starting calibre players in the NFL (unless you have a play off spot locked up) is highly frowned upon by the NFL, media and fans. It comes across as tanking for draft picks which just ruins the spirit of the game and makes it utterly pointless to watch or play.
Just because you wanted to tank a few more spots so we could still land Star with out first pick, doesn't mean the players or coaches wanted that. Rivera wanted his job retained, so he started our starters. The players wanted Rivera retained, so they played their hearts out for it.
Giving DA two games late in the season to start does nothing for us. It doesn't ease our concerns any more if (god forbid) Cam goes down with an injury. He's going to be a downgrade, thats a fact. He is well past his prime and is nearing the twilight of career, while Cam is currently playing white-hot, is a spring chicken, loaded with talent and has plenty to learn about the game. Which do you think needs the reps more?
