Who's land would they steal?

It would be a no lost situation. Whites in Alabama, per se, would move out to white only states and blacks would move into black only states. Just an exchange of address. New immigrants would not be affected by that. In turn, no more KKK or other childish crap. Thus a happy nation.

I wouldn't exactly say that Israel has been a swimming success.  Not to mention our government's own action against Native Americans. Or indigenous people basically anywhere colonialists went.

While it might be ironic to see the government evicting white landowners from Southern states, that wouldn't solve any social justice issues.  What happens when someone refuses to go?

Well, they can stay but they'd be downgraded to immigrant status. That means they can't complain about whatever system they're in or get deported if need be. Whatever the social justice issues are, it would be that respective country's burden.

The same immigration laws would apply. I'm surprise more white and black leaders aren't calling for this.

Black people don't realize how much of a nothing Martin Luther King, jr. did for them. When he should have been mobilizing his people to demand their own land and self-determination, he forgot and decided to protest for something he already have.  People need land, not civil rights. White people are smart playing it off like it was hard for them to relinquish such civil rights to blacks. I have to admit, white people are like magicians sometimes. But like all magic, it gets figured out eventually.

Now, did black descendants of slaves have their own set of values/customs/culture and traditional family models to pattern themselves after, compared to ethnic groups who've immigrated to the US on their own accord, like Asians or Hispanics or Jews? Because if the problem with blacks in America is lacking family values, as some are saying, could one of the reasons be that they never had a sense of identity or culture to start with due to being taken from Africa against their will and in a sense were making their own culture and family models as they went along? I'm thinking this could've put many descendants of slaves at a disadvantage and could skew the stats against American born blacks. Just a question.

The lack of family structure was sort of quelled due to the married rates of AA's in the 20's and 30's.

The divide is this. If someone who is non black that talks about the high rate of teen moms the counter move is slavery and the repercussions of it. No doubt slavery was horrific. How long can that be propped up for individual actions is the issue.
Some families from the same neighborhoods have done better than others. Has to be a reason.
One group tha thinks they are helping blacks really aren't. They patronize more than help and don't even know it. The grip of institutional racism isn't what it once was but its still there.
The true divide and battle now is between the haves and have nots, no matter your race.
But at some point we need to be able to not either shout someone down or be so defensive when an issue of concern that may show one particular group not doing as well as another or automatically assume critiquing as racism.

Is it that hard to believe blacks would want their own self-determination? Why do all whites assume black people want to be around them. The civil rights movement wasn't about blacks' deep affection for whites and the need to live next door to them.

So when people say things like "Black people don't value education", we should give it serious thought...

I wasn't aware of such vast turmoil in the Chinese population. What is the rate of violent crime compared to their total population percentage?

Looks like someone's never seen Big Trouble in Little China...haha

Unlikely considering they had pretty high marriage rates through the early part of the 20th century, before economic uncertainty started hitting hard.

edit: to clarify, economic uncertainty is more than just poverty... please see the paper linked for more of a description.
