If there's dead money still on the cap from his last deal, maybe they could sign him for that and call it even.

I don't care if he's still injured, 50% of Wharton is better than Bell's 100%.

Wharton if healthy could be depth at guard but at tackle he has sucked worse than Bell.  Look at the numbers.  In 2005 he gave up 8.5 sacks, in 2007 he gave up 9 sacks.  I don't know how much tackle he played in 2009 but he again gave up 8.5 sacks.

 

Bell in 2012 had 3 penalties and gave up 8 sacks.

 

How is that so much worse???

Wharton is counting $1.86 million against the cap in dead cap, how exactly would that be affected if we signed him?

Makes sense. My only concern is whether he's healthy or not.
