78 people killed

 

 

 

 

 

Looks like they were just going too fast and the cars fell off the track.

 

The posted speed limit was 50MPH and the train was going 120MPH.

Wow sounds like conductor really fugged up. This is terrible.

From the sounds of it the driver had bragged before about going way over the speed limit in areas intentionally, dude should face 80 counts of second degree murder, he willfully broke the law causing the deaths of 80 people in his care, this is truly disgusting.

I doubt there is a death penalty in Spain but if there is IMO it should be used for something like this.

A lot of failsafes went wrong here too. In cab signaling should have slowed them down much earlier.

Blame will go all around, from train company to train conductor, but for now let's mourn the dead.
