When Kris Jenkins was at his most dominant.  That group was amazing.

That 2003 group won many a game for us.

I have no delusions. Our rookie defensive tackles will struggle, and make mistakes.

We are blessed the rest of the line should be able to help our rookies out.

How much are we going to see both rookies on the field at the same time? Assuming 1 is the best run stiffing DT & the other the best pass rushing DT in teh draft, and with our depth & rotation. 95, 92, 96, 76 & 95, 68, 76, 90? That's my guess at most run & pass situations, still have rotation to plug&play....

I cant start a new topic due to my low post count.  Our nasty dline was mentioned in this CO article on Mike Mitchell taking the lead early on for the SS position.

Bottom line is our DLine is deff improved from last year! i dont think we will have any bryce brown repeats this year. We have the makings of a very formidable defense that should hold its own against any team we face! As long as RR gets in the film room shows the rookies what not to do we should be just fine! I personally cant wait to see what Hardy and johnson do to kapernick and that bs read option! Hopefully they take a play out of the Ravens book and hit him EVERY SINGLE PLAY! The Kraken will prbly be foaming at the mouth in Nov!!!

I was going to agree with you but then i watched this..

our current roster might be good on paper, but until they put it the results- they are just another good D-line
we haven't even seen our 2 rookie DTs play yet and we a crowning them better than 2003 D-line???

we go to the NFCCG and beyond- then we can have a discussion about them being better..

Goosebumps man, goosebumps. I was only in 7th grade at the time but that sure was exciting.

I was at the Lions game that year and some, what I assumed to be crazy drunk Asian, was running up the stairs on the upper deck shouting "we going to Houston". I looked at my dad and we were in agreement this guy better take a seat before he plummets down the stairs and over the railing.

Sure enough, he was right. I will never forget that crazy Asian, and the year we went to the dance.
Delhomme magic sidearm poor mans Brett Favre almost pulled it off.

Assuming we aren't forced to play cover three I agree with you. We have a physical secondary and I'm hopeful the third year of another defensive guru will play out like the third year of another man affectionately nicknamed foxy. However, I have yet to wash out the sour taste of 2010. Hopefully this years team can provide some mouthwash.
