Always forget that Game 1 was Reggie Lewis' last game before his death. His collapse was scary. Sad stuff.

That game sucked and made the series quite somber even though the Hornets got the win.

I used to have a Sports card shop at a flea mall and guys were wanting Reggie Lewis bball cards bc they thought they would be more valuable bc he died...it was sickening since I loved Reggie Lewis.

I refused to sell them for a few days.

I used to record most every Hornet game and key matchups on TNT...i had about 40-50 vhs tapes of Basketball games.

When I moved into my house 4 years ago I found all these VHS tapes and watched hours of Anfernee Hardaway destroying people in Hawaii...UNLV vs Todd Day and Arkansas....Grant Hill owning Glen Robinson in the NCAA tourney...the Hornets series...a bunch or old Golden State with Tim Hardaway at his most explosive...I was BBall obsessed.

Those games show how night and day college BBall was when you could identify each school by their players for at least three years.

Most satisfying game was Kansas vs UNC where Rick Fox missed open layups(point shaving?!) and let a hairy armpit Mark Randall, Adonis Jordan and Rex Walters beat that mega-team in the final 4.

I actually thought UNC was the better team to match up with UNLV....nope it was DUKE taking care of the goliaths.

I have game 3 of this series on VHS. At least I think it is game 3. I will have to find it, but it is the game Dell Curry went off for 27 points in the Hive.

I swear I tried to model my game exactly like Dell Curry's.  I even incorporated the pump fake step through leaner for three, much to my coaches chagrin.

This team has 4 of my all time favorite players

This may sound dumb, but man, I wish NBC still showed basketball. I miss these graphics and everything...

And everyone loved MJ, but I'm telling you, Muggsy was my next favorite. He inspired me to play basketball... Also, hilarious Fratello keeps calling him by his first name the entire game.

I would have this bad habit to mimic shots of most any player I just watched. Dell was one and I got a great release from it n could just unload from deep w/o looking at the rim..just catch turn n fire!

Id shoot free throws like LJ just to do it .or the stupid zo ritual before a free throw. Harold Miners ball hug lol

Id even mimic Tony Bennett who nails key threes in the series clincher since he was cliser to my height.

I do not miss Ahmad's weird glare he has when interviewing Michael Jordan.

I actually watched that whole thing..man they stuck it out with David Wesley too long. They signed him based off a game where he torched the Hornets for 38 when he played for the Celtics.

He is a good bench guy but lacked the athletic ability needed to dominate at the PG position.

This team is actually the best Hornet team...Divac to Rice was a special combo as Rice always had a backdoor cut alley-oop dunk that Divac would beautifully pass to him..it got shut down in this series however.

Rice, who is the most effortless three point shooter I have ever seen live played at another level in Charlotte. Too bad this is the beginning of the end as Cowens quits on the team the next season, Phills dies in a carwreck, Mason has sex with a 14 year old and they bring in Master P for a summer league tryout.... Buzz turns to crickets chirping.
