This is a possible Hardy sack or at least a pass disruption if he didn't slow up after burning Bell? If he extends and surges after rounding the corner he gets to Cam. He isn't allowed to in camp, so he slows up.

Sorry to be a Debbie Downer

I see us defending a lot of 3 step drops this year

I don't know. Hardy would have had to cut at a pretty hard angle to get to Cam since he was stepping up in the pocket.

He is really close to just extending his arms to get to the ball. I think he gets there if he was going at 100% and not 75%

Anyone saying that wouldn't have been a sack or at least a bad pass caused by the hit is crazy. Liked Garry Williams backwards dance BTW.

I also think Cam could have taken off between the End Tackle gap and picked up a minimum of 15 yds.

Too close for me to say definitively that Hardy would have gotten him. But yeah, it would have been close.

Why was Bell at LT?

Why was Bell at LT?

They probably wanted a look at Campbell at RT and Gross doesn't need any extra snaps.

I don't see it. Bell got a decent push on him and maintained position between him and Cam. Hardy was never within three feet of Cam

    • I do think Kpassagnon is an interesting prospect that needs to be in the right situation to thrive. It just so happens that we have one of the best 6'7" defensive ends in the history of the NFL on a reunion tour with us in 2017 and maybe if need be, 2018 if he holds up.   Kpassagnon's attitude and work ethic is strong and tireless. His 3-cone and vert scare me for a defensive end, and that's not something you can teach. Being able to bend and explode off the snap to beat OL is not something that Peppers can show him, but maybe Peppers can show how to use athleticism to his advantage.  I can see him being just another Michael Johnson/Erik Armstead player or I could also see the environment here in Carolina benefiting him and he becomes a Carlos Dunlap kind of lanky DE that causes headaches along our DL. Kpassagnon's spider web looks amazing and awful all at the same time. I'd take him in this draft, but "where" is the big question.
