do you know what "generally" means?

are you also surprised when you go to the grocery store and see someone with milk?

Yeah, there's a reason why I don't share too many examples of racism that I personally experience, I let that one slip without thinking. Not saying its the worst thing ever it just annoys me and it seemed relevant to post. What really gets me is how this board will downplay anything racist no matter what it seems like.

Who is downplaying it?

is probably referring to me. me saying to at least offer an attempt to tell the person hey you when you say this to me, this is how it comes across is i guess downplaying.

i guess if a comment is made by anyone white over 52 that is not exactly said correctly is automatically racist. despite not knowing the person's motives or whats in their head.

one person no. all of them yes unless there is a chance for sleet in the South and then it's a milk tsunami.

lol btw i would just like to point out that you agreed with my line of reasoning while arguing with your straw man

one person no.

then why is it fuging surprising that a college educated person is well spoken?

you said generally.

and i said fair share. then you started to play tinderbox tennis. hence the super long rally vid in another thread.

this is easy. generally college kids are well spoken. yep.

generally when someone says you are well spoken they are racist. harder to prove but for those keeping score at home we will also say yep.

generally people buy milk at a grocery store. that is why they keep it at the back because it is a staple of American daily living. yep.

generally many Southerners will run to the store to buy said milk at the mere hint of snow. yep again.

Nah, it was actually referring to the part where you spent the last few pages downplaying it and telling us how you take every opportunity to tell your black friends how not racist their own experiences are.

whoa. we are now doing a double reverse straw man here.

what is the % break down of generally? quantify it for me.

again, if you feel compelled to tell an educated person that they're "well spoken", as if

1) it's some sort of rare thing for college educated ppl to be "well spoken"

2) they don't already know that

then you're probably a moron or you're playing on an old stereotype that shockingly nearly every white poster in this thread is entirely unaware of somehow

I was in an interview last week and the VP of HR found out I grew up here in the South.  They said they were impressed that I was very well spoken and did not have a strong southern accent.

Guess I should have been offended by that.

Yes? Not everyone from the south is some dumb, mouth-breathing hick like tbterror.

It pisses me off to no end when clients tell me I don't sound like they expected a southerner to, because I know how they expect me to sound.

Like this.
