Peppers did what he thought was best for him. I'm not bitter about it. I might be if our DEs sucked, but our DEs are the strength of our D.

I wouldn't be bitter towards Peppers if he didn't talk about leaving to the Bucs or Bears long before his contract was up and talked about how under-appreciated he was in Carolina (as a factor for leaving too). Players leave all the time. No biggie, but it was the damn fashion he left that irked me.

Peppers is just a really oddball personalty.  I don't know that you can apply the logic of the average person to him because he's just out there.  His old teammates - and probably his new ones - would likely all tell you that.

Jake is more of a down to earth "everyman" type, and a lot easier for most folks to understand.

I'll give you that. Peppers has always been a wacky oddball.

I don't know if The Huddle was established back then when Peppers made those comments but I doubt they were taken kindly by the fans. After all, more than half The Huddle tore into Cam for still being a Falcon fan. Imagine Cam talking about not wanting to stay in Carolina and playing for an elite team like The Falcons. The backlash would be astronomical.

Jake will always be my favorite Panther....that statement of his only further solidifies his place as #1.

Jake is one of the nicest guys out there. If he is that irked by the Aints that he'd say something like that, I can't begin to imagine how they treated him. Must've gone after him when he played against them too.

With that out of the way, Pep is fine where he's at, we are fine where we are at.  I don't pull for Pep anymore, I don't talk about Pep in a glowing fashion for his time here either.  I'm done with him just like he was done with us.  If you can't understand that then I don't know what to tell ya.

Love me some Delhomme! We need to get this man back with the Panthers in some capacity (not as a player).

Guess you're one of those fans who only remembers from the playoff debacle forward.

He was a good QB for us. Not great, but certainly good for the most part. Hopefully he retires a Panther like Kasay did, it would be a nice touch.

The interview was a good read.
