(Michael David Smith - PFT)

"Former NFL player Hugh Douglas has lost his job as an ESPN analyst after a confrontation with one of his co-workers.

“He no longer works for us effective today,” an ESPN spokesperson told Richard Deitsch of SI.com.

According to The Big Lead, Douglas threatened to beat up Michael Smith, who appeared with Douglas on Numbers Never Lie. The report also said Douglas used racial slurs toward Smith.

Douglas put a short statement on Twitter, saying he is disappointed to be leaving ESPN and will have more to say about the incident in the future. He did not apologize to Smith, ESPN or anyone else.

I am very disappointed to be leaving ESPN and will have more to say about this situation and my future at the appropriate time

A first-round draft pick of the Jets, Douglas was the Defensive Rookie of the Year in 1995 and later was traded to Philadelphia and became a three-time Pro Bowler with the Eagles."

God, thank you! Can't stand Douglas, Smith, and co. Wished Douglas would've threw a couple punches at Michael Smith before he had left. Michael Smith is almost as bad as Sapp when it comes to talking. Can't understand what the fu(k he is saying. "Numbers Never Lie" is a worthless piece of crap.

    • This Quincy Adeboyejo looks good.  Top SPARQ, good vids around, seems like an interesting prospect at WR.
    •   Sorry, but...IMO, if Allen can't really move outside, then I am not sure I want him at 8. However, I could see going with a DE that can slide inside. We just took Butler last year, not sure we need to go again this year. Especially at 8. We have to see what Butler has. Aaannnddd....we still have a shot at keeping KK. Drafting a DT, especially at 8, just does not make sense to me. Plus, we have Love on a 2 year deal. IMO, we need to let the DT position play itself out before we address it.   Now a WR at 8? That would be bold. Or do you mean in the 2nd? If so, I would not be adverse to picking a solid looking slot guy. I don't care about the route tree, as long as he has some wiggle, and good hands. Preferably a kid that returned punts. Those guys always have some wiggle. Or at least some of them anywho.   To be fair. Most coaches would play more rookies...if they trusted them. Rookies make mistakes. Coaches lose jobs when too many mistakes are made. Hence why most FO guys will take a well rounded vet over a promising rookie every time.   I don't care who you are. If your gonads ain't tingling at the thought of what this draft could provide? You may either be dead. Or you may just be too casual of a fan.
    • are you guys saying he'll be corner going solely based off his combine stats and weight? why would he not be a S?
