ALL IN

Best Answer ladypanther, 17 September 2013 - 06:09 PM

So...2 games...2 heartbreaking losses.  We all know the Panthers could be 2-0.  I blamed the first game more on player mistakes.  The 2nd game, IMO is all on RR.

Several years ago I was one of the first to believe Foxy was the problem with his playing not to lose approach (and I took a lot of grief for that) [Foxy lost a playoff game last year with the Broncos with that approach...made me smile.] I was among those who believed that Rivera should be replaced after last year.  Since he was not, and we have a new GM who is a football guy,  I was behind him 100%.  No one wanted Ron to succeed more than me.  I really hoped he had evolved as a coach and was among those that Gettlemen was going to help be better. Ron certainly said all the right things and seemed humble. He also seems like a quality human being. I wanted this to be his year.

I do not care that RR is stoic on the sidelines. What I care about is his decision making.  The Buffalo game magnified the fact that nothing has changed.

Ron has one more game. I am ready to give up on him but circumstances dictate 1 more chance.  If he has any ability to adjust it has to happen now.  The Giants are a desperate team, known for slow starts and somehow pulling it together.  Rivera's team needs to play to win for 4 quarters.  Period. Otherwise, IMO the Panthers need to move on.

Gettlemen has 1 film study to make a head coach out of Ron.

Let's go....no fear.  Leave nothing on the field. Play the damn game to win.

I bought season tickets this year and still need to take out a loan to cover my final semester's tuition.

I done been all in hyuh! D:<

Sent from my DROID RAZR using CarolinaHuddle mobile app

I'm going to use about 280 of my tuition refund check to get panthers tickets for later in the year. Hopefully by then we will be screaming Super Bowl because we actually sweep the Falcons and taints.

I'm always all in. Watch every game all the way to the end, no matter how painful.

I don't want 8 or 9 wins. If we only reach that plateau I feel like we didn't reach our full potential. This is our year to be a powerhouse not just a little puny 9 win team.

Y'all tell me how the water feels around game 4 and I will consider jumping in.

This is pretty much how I feel about it. I'll still be at every home game but I have to see it. Not ready to push all my chips to the center of the table. The panthers are one team you can't bet on or against you just never know.

...and yep. I still think we are a year away from being really good. I believe in Gettleman and what he's doing. I think he has a plan for long term success. I just don't think we're quite there yet.

Pie for the enthusiasm... Nice change of pace from the depressing thread about low points

Good post, LP.

I'm all in. Honestly, it's the only way I know how to be.

And kudos for "Boston Boss"

I have a friend who is a Clemson fan (YUCK!) and all she can say is "ALL IN!"

Sorry ... the phrase has been spoiled for me by those ratty orange kitty cats.

I have recently been inspired by 2 players....Jake and Smitty.  Nice duo, eh?

If you have not read the recent thread on Jake or the one today on the Smitty interview you should...and give pie to the OP's.

Jake....he was all about heart...he contributed so much to this team.  Smitty...so much heart too, and he had to mature...he seems to have accomplished that.

Smitty is an expert on this team....liked what he had to say.

So....my mantra for this year is ALL IN.

Smitty seems to believe....good enough for me.  He has not taken out an ad, but it sounds like he believes.

I think this team will surprise some people.

I will be at as many home games as possible.

Even though I have been critical in the past.....I hope Rivera is our coach for a long time.

I hope Shula has found his time and place.

The Boston Boss seems to be our man.

In other words...I am ALL IN. Be there or ....why are you here?

I M ALL IN!!!

You guys are all amateurs

I'm going to sell my kidney and use all the money I get from that to put it all down on the panthers to win it all against the odds in Vegas. Nobody's more all in or a bigger fan than me!

Well you should know I sold my right lung and put that money on the panthers to win it all in 2009. Also I cut my right leg off and gave it to a homeless person who needed it because he was a panthers fan
