Thanks. I don't know what I did wrong to embed. I thought a simple img tag would work. I have another one that is the regular view I made but it won't even give me an option to a copy a URL for some reason. Sucks. I can only email it for some reason.

Upon further review, that was a weird way to catch the ball. Whatever works though.

I think catching it that way helped his momentum keep going forward whereas if he turned his hands outward he probably would have had to turn his body towards the inside of the field.

Catch is made over the right shoulder in reverse. . . straight butta but notice how his hands are not behind the ball . . . they are around the sides. Yeah, thats gonna reduce your chances of catching a pretty good bit. That was a nasty haul and he found the perfect soft spot above the middle of the d, but he was milliseconds away from that blowing right through his hands.

I would say he did incredibly well to hold on to the ball like that.

I'm not trying to hate on Gettis by any means - I'm happy that he's been preforming well so far - but the dude was wide the fug open and he made the catch way more awkward than it had to be by the way he caught it. I mean, he turned his hands, like he was snagging an over the shoulder throw, to catch a crossing route that was out in front of him....weird. I'm just glad he caught the ball, but lets not pretend like it's some amazing catch.

Well it looked nice and we were wearing the greatest uniforms of all time.  That's all that really matters.

The route running, IMO, is actually better than an awkward catch that happened to look pretty.

correct.  if he had turned his hands outward at that angle he would have lost his forward momentum in doing so, i've never seen or made any catches that even resembeled that, but it was a very nice adjustment
