Ivan The Awesome

Would a trade be in order in the near future?

Recommended Posts

the only thing we can trade are linebackers, and even then two of our three projected starters are huge injury liabilities. i'm not sure it's honestly an option.

and there's no way on the planet we trade hardy unless we're offered something no team could possibly resist.

I have been on the "No way in hell we let go of Hardy" bandwagon for the longest. But Blackmon for Hardy?..........that actually made me think for a bit.

I assume you mean one of those options, certainly not all three!!!

Point well taken.

I stand corrected.

Good thought, Ivan.  I like folks who throw it out there because it makes for good conversation.  Trade bait?  what do we have?

I can think of a few players with a bit of value:

Joe Adams PR/WR.  Maybe a team needs a special teams ace.  Adams has potential and could get cut.  We get a backup OL for him at best.

Capt Munnerlyn?  Dwan Edwards?  They sat in free agency for a few weeks and got no real offers.

Hixon?  Nah.  Too frail and could not beat out Armanti or Gettis.

Nope.  We have nothing to offer.

The only two trade pieces of value we have are both untouchable IMO.

Smitty and Hardy. Both could help a conteder/anyone, one at a reasonable rate, one at a steal. Neither are moving though.

I don't have faith in Richardson and Bell. I forgot about Bernard.

There isn't outstanding trade value for a guy like Williams but there's always a desperate team in mid-season (searching for a good rushing attack).

A good rushing attack begins with the offensive line. The problem is and will remain the contract. Hurney screwed us and then basically blocked us from being able to trade him. I personally am more of a Stewart fan but until our oline shows up, we are the ones who will need a rushing attack.
