Strictly fantasy speaking I hope cam gets every goal line carry

inside the ten should automatically mean tolbert time.

he averaged just a hair short of 10 yards per reception last season too

I really hope that we get rid of some of the qb sneaks around the goal-line. Cam excels at getting the yards that he can when running and going down before risking injury from a big hit. That is something you can't do on the goal line. I'd much rather give tolbert the ball let him take those hits than risk Cam getting a concussion, getting a hand stepped on, or worse.

Honestly, for running plays it should be D-Will, Barn Burner and J-Stew outside the five with a Cam jog here or there. Inside the five, it's Cam and Tolby. That setup makes the most sense. That's not to say Tolby can't run outside the five pretty good too, but he's most effective smashing heads inside the five.

But that game where he basically started at RB last year was BEAST. He was running motherfugers over like they were practice dummys.

I know people want to decrease the amount of hits he takes but, if he we really need a score and we are down at the goal line, we better feed Newton.  He is damn near unstoppable to stop down there purely based off scheme.  It is easier to score when all 11 guys on offense are involved whether it be blocking or running rather than 10 guys, allowing the defense not to have to key in on at least one person.

We shouldn't rely on it but if we need it, we better not shy away from it.

I love Tolbert.  My only issue with him is he dances way too much sometimes, like he is a 190lb scat back.  He needs to lower his shoulder and just run forward.

i would say goal line is probably safer, he usually goes over the pile and doesnt give the defense a chance to get a good shot in directly, where as running in the open field or getting sacked could lead to more injuries.  i'd say cam should dive in the endzone anytime we have the ball inside the 2.  and it is so immediate, the defense doesnt really have time to penetrate or shoot gaps or even push our guys back as much.

With iffy OL play.... Tolbert is a better RB than Williams IMO at this stage.. With good OL play Williams blows Tolbert away.

Williams needs some freaking holes or he just can't do much inside on his own

    • I was a Marine Brat at Camp Lejeune NC and graduated from CLHS in 1978 and on 28 June 1978 I joined the Navy.  I retired On June 30th 2003 after 25 yrs of Naval Service and have been serving overseas to support our troops ever since. I was in Tikrit when they captured Saddam.  Soldiers from our base were the ones who actually found him.  I have been in places in Iraq called Mosul, Al Asad, and Al Kut,  I have been in Bagram Airfield in Afghanistan.  The living hell hole called FOB Shank were incoming was a daily encounter. You see young soldiers who don't even shave yet.  Some look like they lied to get in.  Men and women from every walk of life.  Putting that uniform on.  So needless to say, I am very attached and proud of every one of them.  Whether they know me or not.  Tears fill my eyes every time we lose one. (Just lost one last week). This video, I saw when it was originally aired, still make me water up.   I challenge anybody to show me a more military dedicated team, in ANY LEAGUE, ANY SPORT, that supports the troops like the Carolina Panthers.  I'll give my hated Yankees a close 2nd. ($10,00 ticket with a military ID) **at old Yankee Stadium. Carolina is a class act, plain and simple. Thanks for posting this again,
