Grab a OL from FA, bring in an extra tight-end - more 2 TE formations, getting Jon and Tolbert back? Idk but this will be painful to watch all year. Our defense ballin

After this game I don't think Gman has a choice but to bring in a FA stopgap OL

The problem is.. it's not 1 offensive lineman.  Bell, Williams, Silatolu..hell even Kalil is messing up. Gross is the only one playing well.  We are not blocking well on the run or pass.  Maybe it's coaching.  I'm not sure.  But you can't even blame 1 player.

Entire left side is backup talent...and Kalil is coming off a year of IR

Not starting guys that are second or third stringers at best would be a big help.

Cam is injured, won't be back. Not good and it's just preseason. That really should be the main focus

You reap what you sow, expecting an undrafted player ( Gary Williams), 7th round pick (Bryon Bell) , and a DIV II prospect (Silatolu) to come in and solidify your offensive line is unrealistic. Look at the 49ers, the majority of their offensive linemen were first round picks. Panthers have to draft at least 2 offensive linemen in the 2014 draft.

We don't even have caliber backups.  Bad starters, nonexistent backups.  We need new bodies.  Random cheap vet stop gaps are better than what we have at RT and RG right now.

We may have to incorporate the zone read sometimes

Cam better start getting his legs ready cause he will need him

This OL is a dumpster fire.  X's and O's don't matter if you don't have the Jimmy's and the Joe's.  We don't have the personnel.  Period.  We can't compete with this OL unit.

In truth? Not much. It will be a weak link all season long.

Most of our starters should be backups and most of our backups should be watching the NFL from the comfort of their couches.

Oline is a joke. I'm really disappointed in gettlemen for not bringing in some help earlier in camp.

OLine is a major issue, but the other major issue is the play calling.  I'm very concerned about Shula's play calling so far...too predictable.

What exactly didn't you like about the playcalling?

Dude, it's the preseason.  We've always kept things very vanilla in the preseason under Rivera and never really shown our hand.

I'm starting to get the Ron Rivera coaching progression

Vet gets cut: "we wanna see what the young guys can do"

Young guys play like shit in preseason: "hey it's only preseason"

Young guys continue to play like shit way into the regular season: "it's a process..."

Of course we keep it vanilla, but that doesn't mean we run a HB dive for every running play...including the plays for Barner.  We were much more productive on offense the previous 2 years.

2nd and 1 halfback dive...no gain

3rd and 1 halfback dive....loss of 2

We'll see what happens in the regular season.
