Jon Beason had seen it before from Luke Kuechly — a seemingly bogus penalty called on him followed by a huge play. Though Beason has misremembered some of the details, the gist of the story remains the same, and it's that you do not want to tick off his fellow Carolina Panthers linebacker.

Last season, in a Week 16 game against the Oakland Raiders, Kuechly snapped his head around and got a great pass-drop to tackle Darrius Heyward-Bey as he caught the ball. The only problem was he was somehow flagged for unnecessary roughness despite one of the cleanest hits a linebacker could make on a defenseless receiver. Two plays later, Kuechly shot the gap to level Darren McFadden in the hole. Kuechly got right up and pointed at the injured Beason, who had told him from the sideline to not let the penalty throw him off his game.

here is another article on nfl.com http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap1000000232923/article/luke-kuechly-dominates-first-half-for-carolina-panthers

Carolina Panthers veteran Jon Beason already has anointed Luke Kuechly "the best in the league" at middle linebacker.

If the first half of Thursday night's 34-27 preseason victory over the reigning Super Bowl champion Baltimore Ravens is a sign of things to come, Kuechly even might give J.J. Watt a serious run for top defensive player in the NFL.

Middle linebacker can't be played better than Kuechly did in racking up seven tackles, a forced fumble, an interception and two passes defensed over two quarters. He was everywhere. Check out the play below in which Kuechly was shot out of a cannon to separate Ravens running back Bernard Pierce from the ball.

    • Same thing I do every year. Tell you dummies this organization has pissed away another year with wasted picks (Funchess, Ealy, Boston and so on). Listen to all the blind faith crap and how our 5th round rookie WR is the next GOAT (or in your case our UDFA Philly-like scrub WR), when none of the homers have even seen the kid play outside of whatever 2 minute YouTube video they quickly watch.  Go back and forth for a season or two until they're traded or not brought back (Ealy, Philly) and unfortunately have to tell you "I told you so". How's that?
    • Plus the hamstring issue is over blown imo, I'm pretty sure Odell had some similar issues as well before being drafted. Let a NFL training staff get a hold of him and he'll be good to go imo
