Fans love Barner.. But Tauren Poole passes the eye test in my opinion.

Its strange noone ever mentions Tauren Poole at all. Maybe my eyes are deceiving me but it seems like everytime Poole gets the ball, he consistently gets chunks of yards and he also looks to be very explosive as well. Same thing happened last pre season, he looked very solid but yet not a peep from our fanbase about him.

He is probably the least talked about and one of the undervalued players in this roster. He has looked very solid now for two pre seasons in a row yet the fanbase stays silent on him.

He gets chunks of yards because he is running against 3rd stringers who our line can actually block. Armond Smith has like 10 ypc.

When he's against the 1s and sometimes even 2s he doesn't look very good.

He makes the team for sure if Stewart starts on PUP. He has talent for sure.

I talked about Poole for quite a bit last season, but nothing much was ever said about him soo... I just kinda' stopped talking to myself.

But yeah, I always liked him better than Armond.

Yea, I've always liked him more than Smith.  Hopefully Poole gets another year on the PS in case we lose a RB or two after this season.  Barner is sticking regardless...but I've definitely liked what I've seen from Poole the past couple of years.

After the little stunt pulled by Armond Joy the other night and Stewart's issues, Poole just may be sticking around.  Wouldn't hate it.

He's a better back than Smith.

different type of runner than barner. different roles.

i've seen poole as pretty much a placeholder until stewart gets back into things.

i think he's got talent, but he's the 4th wheel...williams, stewart, and barner being the other three.

Isn't a 4th wheel a good thing?

apparently not because Tolbert would end up making him a 5th wheel anyway..

I don't think Poole is better than barner but Poole ran better against the first team defense of the bears than he did against their 3rd string defense. Just saying
