Byers, Kugbila, A Edwards, Silatolu, Adams and Hartsock among players not participating in practice today.

We'll hear the reason after practice.

Update:

Rivera confirmed that Kugbila suffered a minor setback after returning to practice yesterday.

Kugbila had another setback. Rivera said the hamstring is beginning to be a concern

Armanti still out...wonder if he's costing himself a roster spot at this point...Adams is as good as gone IMO, especially after how good Ginn looked on Thursday night.

The reason is because he's still a baby fresh out of the D2. I cant see him playing this year.

Honestly Kugs better end up being a beast or that pick is a waste. Its already getting annoying. We couldn't have picked a lineman who could play?

He was going to be a long term project regardless of his status this preseason. I don't quite understand all the fuss.

Gettleman expected him to compete for the starting job in training camp.

or Gettleman was buying time and/or leverage.

Im starting to think Rivera won those "disagreements" they had in the darft room. . . and Gettleman let Ron have his way on a number of picks. . except the 4th.

And amongst all the poo posts, a sane one emerged.

Time for Star and KK to play both ways.  Starting DTs and OGs.

Can someone tell me why we always end up drafting one of these "project" player over prospects who are considered NFL ready?
