Well, manager is not the appropriate term.
The problem was Chudzinski

How many head coaching job interviews did Rivera have before we actually hired him? I remember hearing it was a lot.
Maybe those other teams that passed on Rivera saw something Hurney missed. (that sentence makes me shudder)
Either way, we will find out this season whether or not Ron is head coach material. This is his last shot.
I think it was 8 or 9, but with the Rooney rule, there could have been other variables. I am giving RR a shot this year. I was not great at my job when I started it, but I got better. Now the eggs are never on the bottom and the bread gets to the car without being smushed.

from that article...
"I think Coach Shula is going to change things up, and he has so far," Smith said. "He just does little different things. Some of it looks small, but we're focusing more on the details and that's the difference."

Rivera is a defensive coach....he hires a guy to run his O and let's him do it.
Do we want Fox back? A defensive HC who puts his lame thumbprint on a O?
We were the most explosive O in the NFL in that 2 year window. Chud sucked....I said it after the 2011 season when people were blowing him but he is being scapegoated a little here. They way he called our O easily could of had us at 9-7 last year if the D stepped up and closed.
