If I recall correctly the colts won that game and when asked wny he went for it in his own territory, he said that it gave his team the best chance to win. He didn't want to give the ball back to Manning. Same thing happened with Mike Smith in the Saints game a couple years ago.

Here are 2 examples of coaches and teams who were willing to think outside of the box and do something unconventional because they felt it gave them the best chance to win.

Put the ball in the hands of your best player and let him win the game for you

And both failed.

You might want to find some better examples to suit your argument.

Scot, I think Toolbox is some kid that just discovered Football and thinks he knows it all, it's the only thing I can figure for him.

Or he's thinking as the saying goes: if you ever dig a hole too deep sometimes its better to just keep digging then to admit the mistake.

Thanks for thinking so highly of me

they were both afraid to give the ball to the other team because they didnt think they could stop them, our defense practically dominated the Hawks all day today, that wasnt the issue.

Honestly bro, Scot is probably one of the 3 most respected posters on the Huddle, should probably try and learn from what he says instead of acting like a fool trying to pretend you know more then him.

life lesson you need to learn is to know it's ok to admit when you are wrong.

I could care less who scot is.. I already said my peice about the 4th down and if you guys want to keep sucking each other off be my guest.

Well they are apples to oranges comparisons because if NE got the first down the could kneel it out and the game was over.

Regardless it was a terrible decision that cost them the game.

Look, Ron Rivera has made plenty of bad decisions these last two years.  Today was not an example of that.  He made the right choices in both cases without a doubt.

Typing on phone. In this situation of course I don't want to waste a timeout. I meant to say sometime in River as tenure. Point his he never takes a chance never any deception

And if it doesn't work waste a timeout in the second half of a close game??

I would agree with that.  I am just talking about today's game specifically

Thats not the point i'm arguing. I'm arguing that they play calls were aggressive and they put the ball in the hands of their best player to go out and win the game. We should have let our best player go out and make a play for us

We dominated the Falcons in the first time we played them last year, and we see how that turned out
