Bill Voth @billvoth 15m

Cam Newton said #Panthers did call some shots down field, but he takes blame for not taking those shots; Shula "called unbelievable game."

Cam is up Shula's ass. Shula called a horrible game. Cam saying otherwise is just him saying that he sucks himself.

He is not throwing anyone under the bus. Still no one was open for cam to throw even on intermediate routes.

Steve Smith surprisingly chipper after loss. Says b/c of opponent, #Panthers shouldn't be too disappointed. Also "no complaints" about Shula

A WHOLE PIE!

Shula was not the problem.  there were a couple of things I wold have liked to have seen different, but scapegoating Shula is just trying to lay blame on someone.

THE QB OF THE TEAM DOES NOT KNOW WHAT HE'S TALKING ABOUT, BUT INSTEAD A POSTER ON THE HUDDLE DOES.

You do realize late in the game we were all the way down to the Seattle 10.....ready to take the lead against the team most our crowing the NFC Champs?

If Williams doesn't fumble.....it certainly was a good called game.

People seem to forget no one puts up big numbers against Seattle. A good game is being in position to win against them. We were.

Shula actually schemed pretty good IMO for Seattle and based on how the game flowed.

The game plan wasnt bad, neither team exactly got the ball a whole lot in a ball control game, it was the mistakes that hurt us more then game plan, and I still dont like Shula as OC but blame is for where blame is due and its not the OC today.

Of course a QB isn't going to throw his OC under the bus on national tv. Common sense.

Cam was a little bit conservative today, but he was targeting the open man, not the down and distance, and now he just has to find the balance for himself between the two.

Of course no complaints from Smith.  They were championing hard for Shula in the offseason.  Even if he does suck, they're not going to throw him under the bus.  The problem is, and has always been they're not enough playmakers on the offense.  The WR's, outside of Smith suck (like a good portion of us have been saying), and he doesn't really have enough time to take those deep shots downfield.  Also, Olsen is soft and inconsistent as hell.  He is not an elite TE.

That deep ball Olsen dropped might have been the best throw I've seen Cam make. Olsen dropped another with no one in sight that would have been a big gain.

I love Smitty but, I'm not putting a lot of weight in what he's saying right now. I think he's feeling himself after a solid individual game.

Basically, Carolina did on offense what ever spent all offseason claiming they should do......

yet people now claim it was wrong bc we lost.

We didn't lose bc of Shula.

Thomas, Williams, Smith? Yeah....those guys cost us.
