When was the last time we didn't have a season ending injury in the first game. I think we should just start forfeiting them.

bring back Hangartner

A guy that can play both center and guard, so in theory a great back-up, and still he did not find a new team after we cut him.

Could we be trying to sign someone since no news is out on who gets called up?

I hate to sound crass, but I think this will end up helping us in the long run. At least it forces Ebeneezer Gettleman to loosen his purse strings and sign a quality O lineman, like he SHOULD HAVE DONE in the off season!

What does crass mean?

We probably will pick up a FA for depth but our O -line doesn't look bad  - Gross / Amini / Kalil / Scott / Bell-   I hope we can get the ground game going early in week 2.

What bugs me is how the office putting off signing players hurts us because when we're forced to sign them later, they're out of shape.

Brought in Wharton for a visit and didn't sign him then, waited a month until we were desperate and now he has to get in game shape with no camp.

Brought in Quintin Mikell for a visit and didn't sign him until we were desperate, and he had less than a week of practice before he had to play.

How long are we going to let Jake Scott and all the other available players sit and get fat before we get desperate enough to sign them?

Person says it won't be a name guy. Looks like Chris Scott will start in Gary Williams place.

Anybody else picked up is probably just depth. They did let a couple of guys go from the practice squad.

Gettleman can't put his pride aside. Signing players would contradict his values of "the answer is usually on the roster crap."

Except when he signed all the WR's and CB's in the offseason.

No indication so far that we're looking at veteran players.
