While we are talking about offense....

Seattle has one of the fastest and best D's out there and they actually were wisely not being too aggressive going after Cam....

I would think that would impact our ability to use the screen game

Seattle was out their top three pass rushers and their number 2 corner.

The Panthers couldn't have possibly got them at a better time and whelp.

I think we will see a offense heavy draft next year for the Panthers unless just crazy good defenders slip in the draft

It's a work in progress. Gettleman decided to start with the defensive line. We now have one of the best front 7s in football.

Next year, best believe he will focus on the offense.

We finally have a GM that lives and breaths football. I have faith he knows what he is doing.

He is waiting on the O....in case Ron is gone. If he is, he will also evaluate what he wants as the centerpiece of his O

Since drafting Cam in 2011 the Panthers have drafted 7 offensive players.....

2011-

Kealoha Pilares-WR

Zachary Williams-C

Lee Ziemba-T

2012-

Amini Silatolu-G

Joe Adams-WR

2013-

Edmund Kugbila

Kenjon Barner

Only 3 are still on the team and 0 were on the field on Sunday.

:cam2:

This game isn't on Cam its on three stupid mistakes....

1. JT's inexcusable lack of awareness on ST handing the Hawks 3 points and taking a possession from us.

2.Greg Olsen dropping a perfect pass well within field goal range.

3.Williams fumbling at the 8 when we were driving for a game winner.

That right there is a 13 point swing had those three plays gone the other way we win 17-9 in all likely hood...

How many of those draft picks were in the first 3 rounds? Anything lower than that is a bonus if they make the squad long term. On the other hand how many free agents or traded players have been added? How many are still here?

Olsen, Tolbert, Wharton, Ginn, Hixon for starters

Olsen while good is inconsistent
Tolbert has yet to be utilized
Hixon has yet to see the field.
Wharton you should have left off the list
Ginn the Jury is still out on him.

It is the first game of the season and Wharton, Ginn and HIxon were just picked up so of course they are still a work in progress.  So is Star, Short and everyone in the draft in 2013.

Tolbert was effective in the redzone last year and Olsen was second in receptions last year.  I surely hope you  are not acting like these guys were not good pickups and haven't improved the offense as much as some of the key draft picks have helped the defense.

The difference is most of the offense is temporary band aids. "Short term" fixes.

Your opinion.  I would suspect all those players with the exception of Wharton plan to be here for years to come.
