Or maybe MAYBE Gettleman already has someone in mind.

Jerry makes some pretty interesting decisions, but I think he knows he's putting a little too much stress on his fragile customer base if he shitcans yet another season by keeping on a lame duck.

Very possible.
My only concern with losing our current staff would be the loss of McDerm who I think has done a decent job with what he has been given. Some exceptions (Bears last year) obviously apply.

Who am I kidding. We probably won't see a winning record till Sept 2014.

Hell, maybe he pulls a Tom coughlin and we are Super Bowl bound .

Wishful thinking.

It's not really JRs style to fire a coach mid-season unless he did something really egregious, like criminal or something...

I see Rivera finishing out the year no matter what.

If we don't have a good/decent year, (which I very much hope we do) I hope Gman fires him at the earliest possible time so we can start our search early.

I personally like Rivera, I think he's a good coach.  I don't necessarily think he's cut out to be a HEAD coach.

Since this is a speculation thread, who would Getts bring in? Perry Fewell?

Greg Roman please!

But knowing how this franchise works, it'd probably be Fewell.

I would love to see Rivera just take a DC job here and be done with it.

If the alternative to firing Ron mid season is watching us turn into the monstars after we're already eliminated from playoff contention just like the last two seasons, leading to another nail-biting deliberation from JR, then I will take Ron getting nuked any day of the week
