Such a shame Cam's talent is being wasted as it is.

For some reason...this makes me think of Smitty...

I will be the glass is half full on this one: Cam's talent is not being wasted, per se, it's just not being maximized.

It's called PTSD from last year's "fool me once..."

this is probably the best possible description of this fanbase's general disposition.

This article and a lot of the talk about what the Panthers need to do on offense is garbage.  So basically this article wants the same scheme as last season or similar??   If I recall, myself and many others, at least here in Panther land were calling for a more traditional offense.  That read options, as a base offense was crap.  I for one, LIKED, the formations seen last weekend.  It was not perfect and without a doubt the offense needs to open things up, etc .... but maybe I am not seeing these other game right, but it sure looked like to me all these other "running QB's" except for maybe RG III , looked really good in the pocket.  Then if anything they make things happen when they scramble.  That is the kind of QB Cam will and can excel at.  Let him pass the ball, learn how to run an offense and use his legs when he needs to.

LaFell was Cams 3rd read on most plays. As has been said before Cam does not have time to make it to his 3rd read. That's coaching, not Can.

If it's truly on the coaching, then as much as I want Ron to succeed here we need to miss the playoffs in order to bring in a stronger staff for Cam's sake.

Remarkably dumb considering that we really need the younger wrs to step up and that can't happen if Cam doesn't have the time to get to them...

Let's be honest for a minute. This is Rivera's last year regardless of what offense they install.

.
Not if we go to the playoffs

I tend to believe the truth is somewhere in the middle (combination of the staff and receiving core in our possession). I think LaFell needs to be more consistent, but so does Cam (footwork and spreading the ball -- Shula's and Dorsey's department).

I was referring to his locking-on tendencies, yes.  I will always love me some 89, but there are times Lafell is open that Cam just doesn't register.  Going to be interesting to see how we address OL and WR in the offseason since both could really use high picks.

Have you ever thought that maybe Cam knows who he's dealing with in respect to the receivers? Why does everything related to Cam has to be  something he has to fix? So darn boring after two years of the same unproven ish.  it's so easy to get hung up on things after the fact but I simply don't get why u folks try to turn everything Cam does into something he needs to fix. Everyone seems to want to play "Expert Know It Alls" when it comes to Cam.

You guys need to learn to move on and stop creating and pushing nonsense. IMO, all you're doing is giving those in the media fodder to work with, as if they need help.

I worked in television for a year, so I can say television and/or other media's opinion of us is as relevant as we are to them.

As to your opinion versus my opinion, let's consider this:  there's no other, better way for the rest of the receivers to prove themselves than to actually be given chances in a real game.  If they don't step up and continue to be irrelevant, then that finally answers what we need to know once and for all and next year's draft should feature two or three picks for that position.

Regardless of whose fault it is that there's usually only two real receiving options, seemingly, on any play, it's a problem that needs to be fixed soon, has many roots relation to that problem, and is probably a large reason as to why we only put up 7 on the Hawks.

The thing is, though, reads and routes don't mean anything if the oline isn't what we need it to be.  I'm not sold on Silatolu or Scott, I'm still going to keep a wary eye on Kalil from the Lisfranc injury, and I worry heavily that Gross is done in the offseason.

That was but its on Cam for under throwing WRs and staying with a read too long. Hopefully it was just rust from both Shula and Cam.

They've played ONE fuging game.

We're less than twenty minutes from game day.

Yet the same cry babies who said they would move on are still flooding the place with tears.
